[flexcoders] Adobe Partner Program ?

2008-02-08 Thread tor.kristensen
Hello list,

  I'm hoping to get in touch with an Adobe rep who can talk
to our company ( Sirius IT ) about Adobe's Partnership Program.

  Adobe's site says that the program is closed until a new
Partner Program is launched.

  We're partners with major vendors across the spectrum,
from MS to Red Hat, and would like to open discussions with Adobe directly.

Thanks!

RE: [flexcoders] Looks Like Flex 2.0 Beta 2 is Releasing soon

2006-03-21 Thread tor.kristensen

What about a separate contest for European
Community countries?

I would assume there’s a unified set
of laws/regulations for that in the EC, but perhaps that’s just my
unbridled optimism. ;)

restrictions and diversity of laws for these things in Europe…

[flexcoders] FP8 Filters + Flex 1.5?

2005-10-20 Thread tor.kristensen

Just wondering, does anyone know if it’s
possible to use the new Filters in applications compiled by Flex 1.5?

I don’t need it to be tag based, AS
is fine…

Thanks,

t

[flexcoders] Flex + GIS?

2005-10-19 Thread tor.kristensen
Hi all,

I saw the following on :

http://weblogs.macromedia.com/dehaan/archives/2005/10/sneak_peeks_at.cfm

"---
James: for Flex and mapping services, ESRI
---
* Mapping -- web services.
* The maps are actually SWF file maps!
* Demonstrating that you can rotate the map using a control in
the upper right corner. For example, you can rotate the map so East is
"up", and the map also rotates the labels (all the text on the
map) so they're right way up. Can't do this with images...

* Robust searching capabilities.
--> For example, you can type in a phone number and the map
finds a location based on a phone number.
--> Type in www.google.com and it locates google. An idea is
that you could map web site traffic.
* You can dynamically change the colors of the map.
* Really cool feature. You can browse your hard drive for an
excel spreadsheet that contains addresses. You can select it, and upload
the spreadsheet, and the map will add pins for each location from
the spreadsheet on the map. It also displays the spreadsheet contents in
a DataGrid  instance.
* Shipping in NOVEMBER."

Could anyone point me towards some more information on this
presentation, and whether there are some GIS specific components in the
next Flex revision?

We are starting a huge Flex + GIS project in the next month for a major
European Community organization, and would like to have the latest
information at my fingertips. We're going to be dealing with data from
ESRI as well as multiple remote data collection sensors in 26 countries.

Anyone from MACR who's interested in advising on this can contact me off
list!

Thanks in advance,

The TEC Tweening library plays well with Flex, and is easy to implement.

You can take a look at it here:
http://magnus.te-consulting.dk/flash/index.html

And check it out from here:

RE: [flexcoders] Still got problem with onScreen resizing. which is side-effect!!

2005-07-25 Thread tor.kristensen

Set the newImage_mc._visible to false

onLoadComplete set newW/newH, set newImage_mc.onEnterFrame to call a
function to set _visible=true and then delete newImage_mc.onEnterFrame

that's the only way I know to guarantee the image initially displays at
an arbitrary w/h. You have to wait for the next frame event to have
complete control.

But perhaps this is fixed in FP8? Haven't checked...

RE: [flexcoders] Re: My Company's Flex Site Live

2005-04-08 Thread tor.kristensen

The initial preloader looked a bit spastic
(jumping around asfastaspossible), and using the flex standard preloader doesn’t
give a sense of the brand that you are getting ready to visit.

It’s a small task to customize the
preloader, and probably worth it for your site.

Cheers

[flexcoders] Tweening Library 1.0 - OpenSource

2005-04-01 Thread tor.kristensen

Learn more and download the code and docs here:

http://magnus.te-consulting.dk/flash/index.html

Description

The TietoEnator Tweening classes extend the useful FMX
Tween class, and allow the creation of complex sequences of:

Tweens,

Events,

Commands,

Delays and

SetValue commands.

The classes automatically collect starting values from
target objects if none are supplied.

The classes are compatible and tested with FMX2004, and
Flex 1.5

The classes support integer-only tweening, which lets you
tween TextFields without blurring, or integer indices (scrollTop, selectedIndex,
etc) seamlessly.

Note:Complete AS2Doc
generated Documentation with extensive examples is included in the ZIP
distribution.

There are two classes in this package:

TweenIT

This class allows you to quickly create a Tween. It has
been designed to allow you to create the instance and execute the TweenIT in
one line.

new TweenIt(myObj,callBackObj,
easingEq).tweenTo(null,{_x:8,_y:27,_alpha:100},3000);

You can of course, specify starting values

new TweenIt(myObj,callBackObj,
easingEq).tweenTo(,{_x:8,_y:800,_alpha:0},{_x:8,_y:27,_alpha:100},3000);

TweenSequence

This is the workhorse class, allowing you to string
together complex sequences of actions.

some_ts=new TweenSequence(some_mc,this,Strong.easeOut);

some_ts.addTween(null,{_width:200},2000,Strong.easeOut);

some_ts.addDelay(500);

some_ts.addEvent({type:'click',
var:10});

some_ts.addTween(null,{_width:400},2000,Elastic.easeOut);

some_ts.addSetValue(scopeObj,'_x',200);

some_ts.addCommand(scopeObj,'theFunction');

some_ts.play();

If you guys have comments, improvements, or questions,
just send me a line.

Cheers,

Tor Kristensen
