Hi, If you will, Eclipse doesn't have this kind of 'bug'. I think you should opt for using the plugin versus the native Flex Builder environment. No, I'd would argue that it definitely is a bug. It occurs inconsistently -- sometimes I get line numbers, and sometimes I don't. I use flexbuilder2.0.1 in windowsXP, when i check the option by selecting : Preferences/General/Editors/Text editors/Show line numbers then line numbers showed, but while i close the IDE, and restart again, the setting lost!
