The online documentation on this subject is mostly contradictory and out of date due to changes that Adobe made with AIR 1.5.3.
I am building and deploying a new AIR application using 1.5.3. As far as I can tell it should be possible to silently un-install an AIR application and then re-install a new one in its place. However, the documention here talks about publisher ids: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AIR/1.5/air_runtime_redist/air_runtime_redist.pdf and the documentation here says publisher ids are deprecated: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AIR/1.5/devappshtml/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d118666ade46-7ff0.html So, I am at a loss as to figure out how to obtain the Upgrade/Component GUID under windows so that I can call msiexe to uninstall an AIR application. Can anyone shed light on this?
