Hmm … maybe this will help?
rte.textArea.setFocus();
you can also control the selection by
using
rte.textArea.setSelection(0,1);
I think that’s what you’re
looking for.

How do I set
cursor focus on its internal textarea? I've tried all the obvious
things to no avail.
