Re: [flexcoders] undelete/move to trash options for builder

2006-07-21 Thread Pan Troglodytes

Great tip!  I had thought there might be something like that, but just didn't find the right thing to click on.  I LOVE the Compare With->Local History.  Used that a lot in the past.  Only suggestion I have for it is to have an option for "keep last version of the day".  Right now you can set the maximum number of versions per file and the maximum number of days, along with the maximum file size of the history.  Would be nice for it to go further back and just keep the last version in that day for those extra days.
I'd still suggest moving to the trash instead of deleting outright.  If you delete the project, you're screwed! On 7/21/06, Sho Kuwamoto <

Right click on the project and choose "Restore from local
history". Eclipse (and therefore Flex Builder) keeps a local version of all
changes you have made, so you can undelete files, or even revert to earlier
saved versions of a particular file!

Is it possible to tell Flex Builder to do file deletions the "kind and
gentle" way by moving them to the trash?Second, is it possible to
undelete items from Flex Builder, or does it actually use a filesystem delete
call? Almost got bit by this just now and would like a way to avoid
shooting myself in the foot.-- Jason
