[Flexradio] Tune question
John, I noticed that when working split that the TUNE function uses the VFO A frequency. Since the transmitter uses VFO B, shouldn't the TUNE function use VFO B? 73 Tom W0IVJ ___ FlexRadio mailing list FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archive Link: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ FlexRadio Homepage: http://www.flex-radio.com/ FlexRadio Knowledge Base: http://kb.flex-radio.com/

I haven't seen this question and maybe it's the wrong time but here it goes. I planing to buy dedicated radios for the VHF and UHF bands. Do you have plans for a dedicated SDR for the high bands? [Flexradio] UCB schematic and header question
Hi all, This query doesn't seem to have made onto the reflector, so I am sending it again. My apologies if it coms up twice. I have built up the UCB , but I have a couple of questions. (a) the schematic on the K3TUF website does not show U13, U14, U15 etc is there an updated schematic anywhere? (b) at the bottom of the board is a 10pin header, this does not appear to be in the schematic either, are these pins supposed to be jumpered? if so is it across the board? (c) what is INP6 (as shown on the schematic) and where does it come from? Assistance please. Thanks Ross ZL1WN -- next part -- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Re: [Flexradio] Preamp issue - Results
Dana, it looks to me that you may have a problem with the filter switches either on the BPF or the RFE boards. Due to bit errors and/or unreliable connections wrong filter(s) get selected. That has happened to me. 73, Ahti OH2RZ On 03/03/07, N1OFZ [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: When we calibrated with the XG1 both radios (SDR-1000s) showed the received signal at S9 after calibration. Hi Stan, I use VAC to make a channel to my SPECTROgram program, and to make an audio channel for Audacity the (freeware) audio recording and manipulation program. Re: [Flexradio] VAC Question
Aloha Ken! I didnt know for sure if VAC would eliminate the latency or not. Thats why I was posting the question. I was thinking it might help but it appears the only real way is to play with the buffers. A long time ago, maybe 18-24 months a wish list was drawn up by the people at Flex. At first getting a voice keyer implemented was high on the list. Then a few months later it was moved to second class status. Then dropped all together. No explanation as to why. It seems other ideas had more importance even though there are many Flexers who would appreciate the voice keyer over some of the other items that have been added since. Would I purchase another radio from Flex? I cant say I would, there are issues within the unit that need to be addressed and have not been. The dc-dc converter issue is one which I had hoped Flex would have come up with a modification for but to my knowledge hasnt. Have you looked at 10 meters on the pan adaptor? Bet you cant count all the spurs showing on that one band. I appreciate your assistance and sorry to hear of your cold and snow, I just cant decide if I should go to the beach tomorrow :) Stan AH6JR On Saturday 03 March 2007 5:18 pm, you wrote: Aloha Stan, No, I am really sorry but from what I currently know about VAC and PowerSDR, the main console can have EITHER MIC *or* VAC but not both. There is a guy who wants to sell a 10-Minute-ID device and he is very angry that he can't just plug it into the sound card and have it work. This is an issue I am still discussing with Eric. There has to be a way to put in a voice keyer. I think there is some thought to incorporating a voice keyer in the next version of the console - but I can't get anyone to tell me the details ;-) Second problem is latency. No VAC has nothing whatsoever to do with latency. Latency is all about your BUFFERS and your sound system. For example I am running my Delta-44 with AUDIO and DSP and HW buffers all set to 512 and it working out great. But I bet that would not be good for SSB. I am only on CW and DIGI modes right now. For the lowest SSB latency you can use the Edirol FA-66 with the Firewire interface. I am told that with the right settings of BUFFERS and DMA you can get down to 20ms or so. So if I want to use a program like N1MM contest logger which has a voice keyer would this enable the voice keyer to work better with the SDR software? Also, would this remove any of the latency if I decide to listen to my transmit signal using the monitor function? Re: [Flexradio] VAC Question
Aloha Guy! I probably would have to consider if what you are doing with VAC is something I want to do. I can understand why you are using VAC the way you are but I dont see it as something I feel is necessary. Hi-Fi SSB isnt high on my list of priorities, although Hi Fi AM is a whole other issue. I understand the SDR 1000 has terrific audio in the AM transmit mode so maybe VAC might be an advantage there. Thanks for your input.
