Re: [Flexradio] SVN and D-STTV EasyPal Lite
Hi Owen, I am Ken N9VV in Customer Support. Eric is totally busy getting ready for Dayton with the FLEX-5000. Perhaps I can help you. TortoiseSVN will update which ever version you have selected in your Windows Explorer. Use your explorer to go to the actual subdirectory or folder in which you have downloaded the binary image. If you right click in that folder, you should get the right version. --- here are directions to get the SDR-X version: [ ] create an empty new folder (sub-directory) [ ] double click on that new folder and see that it is empty [ ] using the RIGHT click, select TORTOISE --> repo_browser that stands for Repository Browser. [ ] The browser will ask for a URL. Use the down arrow on the right side to select the first entry that you have. [ ] when you see the PowerSDR file folder icon in the large window, click on the <-> minus sign next to it so that it becomes a <+> sign. Now click on the plus sign as that causes your browser to re-read the whole directory structure. [ ] Hopefully you will see that there are FIVE entries under the BRANCH. They are various working directories for the guys who are playing with the code. [ ] select the SDR-X branch. Then under that select BIN and under that select RELEASE. [ ] RIGHT click on RELEASE and select CHECKOUT. It will ask you for the directory where you want to put the SDR-X code. Navigate to the new empty folder you created. Click OK and the new version should download into that new folder. Call me on the support line if you have trouble 512-250-8595 Ken [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Eric, > > I have a problem with Tortoise. Re: [Flexradio] SVN and D-STTV EasyPal Lite
I'm not sure I understand your situation. Let me just say generally though that TortoiseSVN operates on files and folders. If you take a shortcut to a folder or a file that is versioned (meaning, you got it from TortoiseSVN) and right click on it, it WILL NOT give you the same options as it would if you right click the actual folder. This is due to the way the windows shell works. If you're having problems with TortoiseSVN and you are working directly with versioned files/folders (and not shortcuts to them), then I would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling TortoiseSVN. Re: [Flexradio] SVN and D-STTV EasyPal Lite
I switched to SmartSVN and EasyPal_Lite still works. So I guess the problem is with Tortoise. SmartSVN is a bit more complicated, but it works just as well as Tortoise. SmartSVN is not embedded in the right click menu. de ken Ken wrote: > The easiest solution was suggested by John N3WT. Re: [Flexradio] SVN and D-STTV EasyPal Lite
The easiest solution was suggested by John N3WT. He told me to simply RENAME TortoiseSVN to TortoiseXXX and then restart EasyPal_Lite. I copied the MSVCP80.DLL from Tortoise to EasyPal and it works great. Now I can load pix. But it sure is a hack to rename it every time I want to check on a new revision ;-) I guess I will have to set up some .BAT scripts and use svn.exe instead of Tortoise ;-) de ken [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > FYI: MSVCP80.DLL is the C++ run-time library distributed with Visual > Studio 2005 (VS 8). [Flexradio] PowerSDR/SDR-1000 narrow filter demo
Here's a link to a Flash movie of PowerSDR/SDR-1000 copying 3B8CF calling 'CQ' on 30m a few evenings ago. The band noise floor was about S1 and his signal was not very much above that. It starts out with a filter width of 800 Hz, and then switches to a filter width of 25 Hz. The improvement in S/N ratio when switching to the 25 Hz filter is pretty dramatic. http://www.flex-radio.com/sdrmagic.aspx The audio level was a bit low (entirely my fault -- I didn't have the level set correctly during the recording) so you may have to turn your volume up a bit. The file is about 6 MB in length, so give it the necessary time to load. 73, Dale WA8SRA ___ FlexRadio mailing list FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archive Link: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ FlexRadio Knowledge Base: http://kb.flex-radio.com/ FlexRadio Homepage: http://www.flex-radio.com/

Re: [Flexradio] SVN and D-STTV EasyPal Lite
FYI: MSVCP80.DLL is the C++ run-time library distributed with Visual Studio 2005 (VS 8). Applications built using this version of Visual Studio will typically have an embedded manifest (.xml file) that references various assemblies that specify their runtime needs and wants in terms of dll names and specific versions. Windows will look in the current folder, WinSxS (the so-called Side-by-side assembly cache folder), and GAC (Global assembly cache for shared assemblies) to find the required dlls. For example, I recently dealt with an Outlook extension (dll) and had to copy my extension to the Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11 folder (the current folder, in this case) in order for it to be found at run time. Don't want to get too far off topic here but Just to add a little more info to WWV and other stations here are some links; http://www.ac6v.com/standard.htm http://www.dxzone.com/cgi-bin/dir/jump2.cgi?ID=10457 http://www.smeter.net/stations/hf-time-frequency.php I don't think your SDR radio is/was the problem Stan AH6JR On Tuesday 08 May 2007 5:34 am, Robert Cleve wrote: > When I tune in WWV on either 15 MHz or 10 MHz WWV's carrier is accompanied > by what sounds like a fairly strong 60 Hz buzz modulating their carrier. > When I tune off their carrier the buzzing modulation disappears. Re: [Flexradio] Getting strange 60 Hz buzz on WWV's signal
WWV isnt the only occupant of those frequencies. There are other stations around the world similar to WWV. Could it be propagation allowing another station to come in behind WWV and causing some interference? Ever see the WWV website, http://tf.nist.gov/stations/wwv.html Stan AH6JR On Tuesday 08 May 2007 5:39 am, Ken N9VV wrote: > Hi Bob, I noticed the exact same thing last night. Re: [Flexradio] Getting strange 60 Hz buzz on WWV's signal
I saw the very same thing when attempting to tune the clock on my Flex last night. The carrrier signal for WWV on 5Mhz and 10Mhz looked much wider than usual and had a horrific sound to it. Sounds like there may have been some trouble at their station, but has since been fixed. 73, Mike W5CUL Ken N9VV <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Hi Bob, I noticed the exact same thing last night. Hi Bob, I noticed the exact same thing last night. I was really surprised. WWV on my panadapter looked very strange on both 5Mhz and 10Mhz. Today it looks perfectly normal. [Flexradio] Getting strange 60 Hz buzz on WWV's signal
When I tune in WWV on either 15 MHz or 10 MHz WWV's carrier is accompanied by what sounds like a fairly strong 60 Hz buzz modulating their carrier. When I tune off their carrier the buzzing modulation disappears. I don't get this phenomenon on any other carrier, on any other band or mode, receive or transmit. This just started a few days ago on my SDR1K and nothing in the shack has been changed to cause this. Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this? 73..Bob..KW4CQ -- next part -- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
