Re: [Flexradio] [hpsdr] Dayton Audio

2007-06-09 Thread Greg - ZL3IX
Great, Jerry.

There has been mention of someone putting all this on to a DVD. Does
anyone know if that is still going to happen? If so, I would be quite
happy to buy a copy for a reasonable amount if the person offering the
service has a PayPal account.

I am replying to myself (that has to be some sort of infliction :-))

I searched the archives after Phil twisted my arm (just kidding) and I
found these references to 6m PAs and preamps.

I have no experience with these products and endorse none of them.

(Except I do use the 2M and 440 SSB mast mounted preamps for sat work
and I like them)

better with one.

[Flexradio] full duplex 9600bd on hf

2007-06-09 Thread w0kgw
caught this on another reflector and looks like a posibility for the sdr 5000
maybe with the fast turn around and the good filters.

Here is another idea for development I was talking with an engineer
who
works for a local communications company (Datron), and learned they
have
developed a 9600 Bps HF data system. It uses an ISB transmitter with a
pair of 4800 Bps modems, (one for each side band). Combined they give a
throughput of 9600 Bps, with only a 6 KHz band width. That is no wider
than the boat anchor AM signals heard nightly on 75 meters!! Imagine a
pair of 6 KHz data channels in the 75 or 40 meter bands using N.V.I.S.
propagation mode. One channel would be used for outgoing traffic and
the
other for inbound traffic into a disaster zone. It seems to me this
would be a perfect project for software defined radio (SDR). Add HF ALE
and you would have a very useful system!

[Flexradio] multiple monitor startup

2007-06-09 Thread FireBrick
so far, I have been unable to make PWSDR start up on my secondary monitor
v 1.80 the start screen starts on secondary, But PWsdr only starts on
primary, but in the location of last closing
both
v 1.90 1210 and 1227
start up screen and PWsdr will only start on primary, and only in lower left
corner of monitor.

So far, all the Shift+Closing techniques that work with all my other

last closing.

I'm doing something wrong here, any ideas?
