Re: [Flexradio] Vox on VAC
I remote my 5000 all the time. I love the VAC application, however I miss the ability to use VOX remotely. Does anyone know how to use VOX with VAC, or is this something that needs to be added as a software improvement. **A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. See yours in just 2 easy steps! Re: [Flexradio] F5KC RFIO TX EMI-coupling into HTRX Board
Hi Gerald et al Yes tnx, sure I will be glad. I contacted already Klaus briefly before his skype meeting with Flex. He will recheck and prepare a longer bus cable (ribbon), may be with a physically more suitable (smaller) ferrite core (u=4000 to 8000) than I had available. Nobody detected it yet: not a surprise to me, if one does not have the special EMC tool which I happen to have by QRL (www.euro-emc-service.de ) A suitable common mode choke, that way by ferrite, should not degrade the bus performance. It is not in the wanted signal path. Only stopping vagabonding TX CM current to ground. I am pretty sure this will provide probably a full solution or at least strong reduction for my trouble CW QSK , Vox hick-up and TXRX transition EMI noise. I suspect my trigger jitter TX1 to my ACOM is caused by uncontrolled high impedance (Rb=2.7K) RF TX coupling into that Darlington Driver SN75468 (about 30dB)on the HTRX (1/23) board. The same could be true for the CW paddle. What is left over after that from my (major) findings? This is the strong BC 49m (6MHz), 41m (7.3MHz) station issue in EU. This causes phantom signals above that frequency range up to 10m of up to S7 in my RX with (resonant) antennas 2x25m and multiband 3el yagis. Here we need HP-filters that can be switched automatically, may be by Flexwire. Other than those two major issues and the high CPU acoustical noise my findings are very positive. looking forward to more technical response details 73 Andy HB9CVQ DK2VQ www.qrz.com/detail/hb9cvq -Original Message- From: Gerald Youngblood [mailto:ger...@flex-radio.com] Sent: Tuesday, January 13, 2009 7:25 PM To: hb9...@hispeed.ch; FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz Cc: 'Klaus Lohmann'; 'John' Subject: RE: [Flexradio] F5KC RFIO TX EMI-coupling into HTRX Board Hi Andy, This is the first report of this problem that we are aware of on either the F5KC or F5KA. Re: [Flexradio] Vista 64 beta driver
Actually, the 2 issues are one and the same. Both Vista 64-bit and Windows 7 require signed drivers. This is likely the only issue standing between us and having support for both of those operating systems (definitely the case for Vista 64). The current Flex driver installed on 32 bit Windows 7 and PowerSDR installed too, but when starting up PowerSDR it would not talk to the 5K. I attempted to run as administrator without success.
