Re: [Flexradio] RX2 Pan control
Dave, Sorry, guess I didn't read your email far enough ... I see that you already checked to see that the headphone plug wasn't shorted. Are these headphones that you had previously used successfully on the FLEX5000? If you're using the front panel headphone jack, did you try using the rear panel "pwr-spkr line out" jack (with a suitable adapter plug)? 73, Dale WA8SRA Dale Boresz wrote: Dave, It sounds like possibly the plug for your earphone is not fully inserted into the jack. Did you try removing it completely and re-inserting it? Another possibility is that something happened with the headphone plug itself, that caused the left and right channels to be shorted together. Can you try another pair of headphones or try plugging in a pair of powered computer speakers to see if anything changes. 73, Dale WA8SRA W5UN wrote: The RX2 Pan control on my SDR-5000 has suddenly quit working. The main RX pan control has quit working also, it just nulls audio in both phones when placed in the center. I installed a completely new and independent folder containing a second set of the PowerSDR software, with new database. It also has the same result. I am at a loss as to what has caused this. I checked to make sure the R and L audio connections to the headphones was not shorted. Rebooting the radio and the computer did not help. Re: [Flexradio] Problem with TUN on SDR1000
It is standard procedure with a SDR-1000 to create a brand new database and not an import or a copy of an older one( http://kc.flex-radio.com/KnowledgebaseArticle50089.aspx ) after installing a new version of PowerSDR (http://kc.flex-radio.com/KnowledgebaseArticle50088.aspx). After a new database is created, you must re-calibrate the SDR-1000 because calibration data is not stored in the radio like it is with the FLEX-x000 series of SDRs (http://kc.flex-radio.com/KnowledgebaseArticle50324.aspx). This is easily done with a dummy load and a signal source of known frequency and strength, like the XG-1 (http://kc.flex-radio.com/KnowledgebaseArticle50271.aspx). After doing the calibration procedures, if you are still having problems with the power output, then you should test the output voltage from the sound card and calibrate that appropriately. The procedure is located in the SDR-1000 Operating Manual (http://support.flex-radio.com/Downloads.aspx?id=112). If you do change the sound card output voltage settings, then you MUST re-run all of the calibration procedures again. Especially the PA calibration tests. [Flexradio] Flex, Vac, EPal, HRD
ok John, I am running DM780 ,HRD, EasyPal, PSDR and they are showing signal..I had to change DM780 of course to match the Com port and Vac settings...but they are all running at the same time receiving ok. I also am able to tx with either DM780 or EasyPal by using the same com port configuration for both Programs. So, here is the way I have it here: PSDR: Input= Vac 2, Output= Vac1 EasyPal: RX= Vac 1, TX= Vac 2 DM780: Input= Vac 1 Source=Line Output= Vac 2 Source= Wave HRD is also running in background PSDR..CommoComm I have two sets of Virtual ports: 5/15 and 6/16 respectively. All the digital software I am running use Com 6 as their tx ports with RTS/DTR on Keep in mind I do not normally run HRD or any of its "modules" although I have found that they (EP or DM) will not cooperate with one comm port to share in tx mode, Which, to me says that only one program at a time should be used for tx. It appears that they will pass audio...
