According to their website RCQ Communications Limited have one Flex 6500
left for sale from their first delivery.

I have no connection with the company I just happened to come across the
site when looking at something else.

[Flexradio] Flex6000 Series in UK ...

2013-05-13 Thread Ged Wilkinson
Hi Mike,

It could be a grey import if, as you say, he is not an official UK importer
for Flex. However on the website they do also claim to be a UK agent for
Martin Lynch who are an official importer of Flex radios. It could also be a
clever piece of advertising to lure people to his shop/website.

As I mentioned in my earlier posting I have no connection whatsoever with
the company. I have also not contacted them to confirm that they actually
have a Flex 6500 available for purchase. Unfortunately the price of a new
Flex 6500 is well outside what I can justify spending on a radio at the
moment. I came across the site when searching for something else just at
the time you placed your original question on the Flexradio-request list and
thought I would pass it on in reply to your post. If you are in the lucky
position to be in the market for a Flex 6500 why not give him a call or drop
him an email to check if he actually has one available for sale right now.
You never know you might be lucky, he might genuinely have one - possibly an
early demo unit sent to Martin Lynch.

If you check up let us all know what you find out.

Best Regards,

Ged - G4XQL

Ged,

I'd only buy from a proper dealer/importer.

Re: [Flexradio] Flex 5000 for sale (part 2)

2013-05-13 Thread Dave Blaschke, w5un
Speaking of XYLs; I need a good amp to go with my present Flex 5000,
and my coming Flex 6700 ( my Alpha 87A is still perking along, but
showing its age).
After reviewing and thoroughly investigating the Expert 2K-FA
amplifier specifications, I showed the 2K-FA advertisement to my
wife. She insisted that I purchase it and DO SO RIGHT NOW (her
words. This is no joke. Man I love that woman)
