[Flexradio] VSP Install Problem
I recently have attempted to install VSP Manager on an older Dell running XP Pro. Twice I've tried and twice I get the the following error message: The application failed to initialize properly (Oxc135) Click on OK to terminate the application. Any suggestions before I post on the Yahoo list? [Flexradio] VAC & Keying
VAC won't key your 1500 (or any radio) You'll need a serial port emulator to do that. VSP Manager by K5FR is designed to do exactly what you need - contact him directly for a free copy! Works like a champ here. You really DON'T want to use MS Sound Mapper, either. Create a pair of VACs for just the radio <> application audio. You don't want to throw Windows noises on the air, or interfere with your "normal" PC use. 73 & see you on the bands! George J. Is there someone who can help me with a (VAC) Virtual Audio Cable Control Panel problem using the Flex-1500 and JT65 software. I can get it to receive but cannot get it to key up the Flex 1500? The JT65 software shows it going into the XMIT operation, but not keying the FLEX-1500? Note all my other ham radio digital soundcard software programs (Fldigi/CWGET ect) run just fine, with this same configuration below with NO problems transmit and receive? [Flexradio] CAD-585 Mic
While cleaning out the basement I came across a new (old) CAD-585 dynamic mic. I was wondering if anyone has any information on it and maybe what you think of it's use with the 5000A? I am hoping this would make a nice improvement over the D104 I currently use. Also, the mic has a standard 3 pin male connector on the bottom of it and I would need a short cable to go between the mic and rig back. Is there by chance anyone who has an extra one they could part with for cheap? I was recently "retired" and don't have much to spare in the way of required connectors & cables. Tnx. Re: [Flexradio] rx2 protection
Dale, The simple solution in PSDR is to enable "Disconnect RX2 RF input on TX". This is in Setup, General, RX2 . This uses the relays in the F5K to physically disconnect antennas from the RX2 board. Flex says this gives you additional RX2 overload protection, but that the protection is not perfect. That is, there is still RF floating around the box in the case of a really strong signal. They also recommend separation of the receive and transmit antennas by a wavelength, which is tough for some of us to do. [Flexradio] rx2 protection
I just put a 5000a with RX2 in use. I know this question was asked a while ago ,but the answer was less then useful. I trans mitt on a hex beam and normally receive on RX1. I have RX2 connected thru a coax switch to either a OCF dipole or a R8 vertical. many times I leave rx2 ,on to see if either of the 2 other antennas provide a better reception. Many times I leave RX2 on to listen to 6 meters. NO amp.just barefoot at 100 watts. Iam worried about taking out the front end of RX2. Is there anything I can do ,besides not worry about the problem,or rework something with the 5000a or purchase a front end protector of some type, I see several for 90 to 130.00. Are there settings in Power sdr , using the latest version. that could help ? Maybe a simple solution that does not cost a 100.00.If discussed , please tell me where the discussion can be found. thanks for any help. 73 dale wt4t ___ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flexradio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flexradio.com/
Re: [Flexradio] Flex 6000's are shipping?
I'm also very surprised we haven't heard more about the radio's release. C'mon guys... we're dying to hear the details!! With us being charged to find and report the bugs. Most have been running them through the mill. ??Are they shipping to general users, or is this more of an extended beta program? The guys at flex are really getting the issues cleared up and moving the software to release 1.0 So, the software shipping with the radio is not 1.0? Can somebody elaborate on what is and what is not supported in the software so far? Perhaps they can also tell us a little about the operating experience?
