I had two recent software issues that caused me some grief with VAC use while using WSJT-X. One was QRZ.com changed their handling of rapid callsign searches which impacted DXLab's Pathfinder which in turn cause a security warning message to be generated which as a side effect would cause the VAC connection to die. During my troubleshooting of this problem, I upgraded to VAC 4.13 which introduced a transmit VAC problem. I stopped using Pathfinder which cured the receive problem and I reverted to VAC 4.12 which corrected the transmit problem. There is now a new version of Pathfinder that works fine with the QRZ.com change. Boy, side effects are pain. [Flexradio] start up
Hi Dudley, Have you come up with anything on my problem, the half screen on start up. I go to FlexRadio icon and then go the operation ode and change it from whichever it is in to one of the other. Turn PowerSDR off and on again and it works fine. Peter Remember that you will not see the panadapter move when you do fast tuning via the flexcontrol/mouse wheel when spur reduction is off. Now if we can figure out what’s causing my FlexKnob to lag when used with my 3000 (on a I7-quad core computer running 2% CPU) and works flawlessly with my 1500 I’d be mighty grateful. I’ve ripped out everything in device manager and moved the ports around as well as changing the fifo buffer settings. I changed the FireWire card to an express model and changed the cable. Spur reduction on helps a lot. And while the standard mouse is affected it’s not as obvious as the lag when using the knob. VA3EC who has a similar setup is having the same lag issue.
