Re: [Flexradio] Touch-Screen All-in-One computer for Flex-3000
Hi Neal, Any thoughts/comments on a touch screen that replaces your standard PC display as opposed to a touch screen tablet that lays flat on the desk? I'm curious if there is a fatigue factor in having to reach out and poke and swipe the vertical PC Touch Screen monitor vs. the on-desk tablet. Any comments on the ergonomics? Thanks. Re: [Flexradio] New Version 2.3.5 A No Go-- For Now
You could also open up two copies of PowerSDR (the old and the new) and tile them on your screen. Then, you can look at your old settings and manually enter them into the new version. This would save you the steps of having to make screen shot files. 73 Barry WB2ZXJ ___ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flexradio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flexradio.com/

Re: [Flexradio] Software decoder for BCB HD AM signals...
Hello, Jim and Frank, I appreciate your through and scholarly response to my simply questions. Having practiced EE for more than thirty years now, I am fully aware and respect the patent system. Most of my employers would give you a letter of appreciation and maybe even a plack (sometimes even a buck!) for any invention you came up with on their watch. It made no difference whether it was job related or not. I understand that fact of life. I guess that my simple question is: how is iBiquity Digital different than DRM? With DRM (an international digital standard) I can buy (as I have...) their official decoder -- http://www.drmrx.org/ but, I can also use the free and open source GPL (and much better) -- http://drm.sourceforge.net/ Inquiring minds just want to know! BTY, Harris seems to have some HD AM codecs for sale. 73 Barry WB2ZXJ p.s.I hope I'm not wasting FlexRadio bandwidth on this reflector with my dumb questions. Re: [Flexradio] Software decoder for BCB HD AM signals...
Thanks, Jim and Frank, I fully understand your responses. But for one moment, please amuse me. Frank, I know you are my neighbor, Jim, you are not here in NJ. The NYC stations are bombarding my QTH with kilowatts of AM HD radiation -- why is it that, I, as an experimenter/hobbiest can't decoded their freely radiated signals? I think that the protocols are in the public domain. What am I missing? I'm an old school Bell Labs type -- too many years in the communication field. Please explain the errors in my naive thinking. [Flexradio] Software decoder for BCB HD AM signals...
I'm just curious, is there any software out there that can decode the HD radio channels on the various AM broadcast band stations? It's interesting to look at the two additional channels on the panadapter but kind of disappointing not being able to listen to them. The same would apply to HD FM, but the SDR-1000 doesn't tune that band :-( DREAM software works great for DRM, but I haven't seen anything for HD AM (i.e. iBiquity Digital). Just a quick question from a happy SDR-1000 owner.
