Yes, it was a phase problem. I reversed the leads in one of the speakers 
and it cleared up,

Have you moved the speakers recently?

I ask because I have a bit of a hearing loss at certain frequencies.
If I turn my head to a specific direction from the speakers I can
almost completely null out the audio from the speakers. So I
found a spot for the speakers where that does not happen.
The other thing I found is that headphones on weak signals work
better than the external speakers and they don't care which way
I turn my head.

are fed through a 50 watt Radio Shack amp.
When I am sitting at the op table in front of the speakers, at times it
is difficult to hear the DX station, particularly if they are weak.
However, if I get up and leave the room with the audio still in the same
position, I can hear the DX station considerably better.
Has anybody else experienced this or am I losing it completely?

[Flexradio] Use of Ameritron ARI500/ALS 600S with Flex5K

I am considering purchasing the ari 500 to further automate my station.  Has 
anyone used this combo? If so, any problems?  Will DDutil handle the 
interfacing?

[Flexradio] Strange Out of Band Readings

I've just started experiencing this. On 160, 80 and 60 meter, no matter 
where I go in the band, the band readings on both vfo's (5K) are reading 
out of band. The rest of the bands are okay.  I had been playing with 
different skins, so thought that may be the problem. Revert back to an 
earlier database before playing. No joy, same problem.

I've rebooted (cold and warm) with no luck.
Has anyone else experienced this?
