Re: [Flexradio] Slightly OT Receive Audio from Outside Speakers

2014-04-16 Thread Marty Bluhm

Thanks to all who answered. I didnt expected the number of responses, .
Yes, it was a phase problem. I reversed the leads in one of the speakers
and it cleared up,

Really, really nice.

Thanks again, 73

Are the speakers in phase? Try reversing the leads to only one of the speakers.
Try it anyway even if you think they are in phase.

Marty, W8AKS

Have you moved the speakers recently?

I ask because I have a bit of a hearing loss at certain frequencies.
If I turn my head to a specific direction from the speakers I can
almost completely null out the audio from the speakers. So I
found a spot for the speakers where that does not happen.
The other thing I found is that headphones on weak signals work
better than the external speakers and they don't care which way
I turn my head.
Good luck

Subject: [Flexradio] Slightly OT Receive Audio from Outside Speakers

I have noticed this difference over the past couple days.
I have 2 KLH speakers mounted on the wall over the operating table. They
are fed through a 50 watt Radio Shack amp.
When I am sitting at the op table in front of the speakers, at times it
is difficult to hear the DX station, particularly if they are weak.
However, if I get up and leave the room with the audio still in the same
position, I can hear the DX station considerably better.
Has anybody else experienced this or am I losing it completely?

Tks and 73

Good Afternoon.
I have a problem ? with my vac lines.
The current format for Line 1 is as follows:
ExPCM/48000/16/2(3) with 2 Uflows

However Line 2 has the following format:
ExPCM/44100/16/2(3) with no Uflows

I have checked all my boxes to make sure that all levels were
at 44100 including the audio on Win7 64bit.
Everything I can find indicates all are at that level.

I've been experiencing weird things like none of the PTT tests
in wsjt-x will not work; but operate fine in real world.
Any help would be appreciated.

[Flexradio] Use of Ameritron ARI500/ALS 600S with Flex5K

2013-12-05 Thread Marty Bluhm
I am considering purchasing the ari 500 to further automate my station. Has
anyone used this combo? If so, any problems? Will DDutil handle the
interfacing?
New kid at this, so please bear with me.

[Flexradio] Strange Out of Band Readings

2013-11-16 Thread Marty Bluhm
I've just started experiencing this. On 160, 80 and 60 meter, no matter
where I go in the band, the band readings on both vfo's (5K) are reading
out of band. The rest of the bands are okay. I had been playing with
different skins, so thought that may be the problem. Revert back to an
earlier database before playing. No joy, same problem.

I've rebooted (cold and warm) with no luck.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks and 73
