Re: [Flexradio] F3K acting up
Dave - Many of the problems with PSDR are, as Tony points out due to changes within the PC. Cut to the chase and look for excessive DPCs (Delayed Procedure Call). There is a small, free utility called DPCLAT.EXE which you can download. If you load it from the original site, they have a readable essay on what is going on, and how to look for offending items. 73 Ken AC0HO On Sat, Feb 1, 2014 at 5:06 PM, Tony Estep wrote: > On Fri, Jan 31, 2014 at 11:15 PM, Dave Gomberg wrote: > > > There sure are a ton of bugs in PSDR > > > == > Well, it's true that coding and testing errors remain, even at this late > date. Keeping it going is sorta like running on a treadmill that keeps speeding up. Have my fingers crossed. What caused it (what happened just before) was that I left my rig on and powered up. I believe that PC is configured to sleep after an hour, so that may have happened. But power cycling didn't fix it. There may be a PSDR bug that timed sleep causes database corruption. There sure are a ton of bugs in PSDR so it wouldn't shock me. If it happens again I will reset the database. Should back it up now while all is well. -- Dave Gomberg, San Francisco NE5EE Programming since 1961 All addresses, phones, etc. at http://www.wcf.com/ham/info.html - ___ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flexradio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flexradio.com/

Re: [Flexradio] F3K acting up
Hi Dave, I am not sure what to tell you. I had this issue twice. The first time was when the loop antenna had one lead disconnect from the balun. Once the antenna was fixed it went back to normal. The Second was after my cat decided to play around behind the desk. I found that RF got into the Firewire cable after she had relocated the Firewire cable on top of the RG-213 to wall antenna port cable. Even with the toroids on the Firewire, 10 watts was not liked by the Firewire System. When I went to tune, no power out was shown. I rebooted XP Pro SP3 and one tune effort worked a bit, but subsequent efforts showed no power out again. I took power off the F3K and the PC, then powered all back on, symptom continued. When I ATU or Tune, the SWR sweeps down the full range of the meter, then starts back again at the high end. I have a Flex 3000 with PSDR 2.7.2 that has been running generally fine until this PM. When I went to tune, no power out was shown.
