Try resetting your database,  if that does not cure it , you will need a RMA 
from Help Desk for repair.

I'd try database reset.
Back up you current database and do a reset.

My flex has ceased transmitting RF on 40m.  No RF out with SSB, CW and Tune 
button responds ‘NO RF DETECTED.’

A fault with the rig?  Other bands are fine.
