Re: [Flexradio] FlexRadio Community for the rest of us?
Evening folks: I apologize that it feels like nobody is watching the email reflectors. As you can imagine, we've been pretty busy in Customer Support and that has caused us to be temporarily less responsive in some areas. As Ed posted, our plan has always been to roll the Flex Community out initially in support of the FLEX-6000 then transition the rest of the FLEX-Series radios as soon as we can. We're feeling pretty good with the FLEX-6000 Community and we are now starting our planning stage for phase II. We'll be sure to make some noise on "all frequencies" when we formally turn up Community support for the rest of our hardware and software products. In the meantime, we're all going to do our best to be more responsive to you on the existing reflectors. The Flex Reflectors are monitored by hundreds of experienced Flexers so the answer is probably out there waiting for your question. If you don't get the answer you need in a timely manner, please use one of these methods for now: 1. FlexRadio Helpdesk - http://helpdesk.flexradio.com 2. FlexRadio Support Email - supp...@flexradio.com 3. Flex Telephone Support U.S. Number (512) 535-4713 then press "2" for support. 4. If all else fails, drop me a note to g...@flexradio.com. I may not know the answer but I'll do my best to get your query to the right person. Thanks for your patience with us while we continue to upgrade our support tools for you. 73, Greg - K5GJ VP Sales and Marketing FlexRadio Systems On Fri, Oct 18, 2013 at 3:11 PM, Neal Campbell wrote: > I think that they are pretty busy on the 6000 side but will pop in if > things get too loud! Re: [Flexradio] FlexRadio Community for the rest of us?
As I recall, when the community tool was announced it was said that it would be for the entire FRS product set, and that the 6000 series would be the first supported. The implementation of support for the other products is a bigger job because a number of large and dissimilar data bases will have to be migrated to the new tool. [Flexradio] FlexRadio Community for the rest of us?
Flex has set up a community for the 6000 series of radios that replaces the mail list and forum. I wonder if we 5000, 3000, and 1500 users will ever get the same thing? I allows for user moderation to some extent. You can't get that with mail lists. It would be a big improvement and help stop the spread of some myths about certain rigs and products I think.
