[Flexradio] Granite Firewire Cable

2014-04-20 Thread Richard Lawn
I have a Granite cable I can't use anymore now that I've switched from a
Mac to a Windows computer. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Re: [Flexradio] Granite Firewire Cable. Ferrites?

2010-04-17 Thread Steven L Hess
As far as I know I only had problems with the old cable on 75 meters and
it was a weird thing where the "High SWR" warning would come on but the
SWR would be 1.7 to 1 or lower and rock steady. I had no RF in my audio
or any other problems. I do intend to go back to running my Amplifier
and that will change the amount of RF in my shack due to antenna proximity.

Are you having a RFI problem with the new Firewire cable? If not, the
additional ferrites are un-necessary. There is no need to fix what isn't
broken. BTW, I did not add any ferrites to my Granite Digital Firewire cables,
but then again I don't have a lot of stray RF in the shack since it is shunted
to ground before it enters the house.

If you do get ferrite beads, I recommend mix 77

Does the Granite Firewire cable need any more ferrites that it comes with? Mine
showed up today and has been installed.

What mouser part number does everyone tend to order in clamp on Ferrites?

Does the Granite Firewire cable need any more ferrites that it comes
with? Mine showed up today and has been installed.

What mouser part number does everyone tend to order in clamp on Ferrites?
