[Flexradio] Granite Firewire Cable
I have a Granite cable I can't use anymore now that I've switched from a Mac to a Windows computer. Let me know if anyone is interested. Re: [Flexradio] Granite Firewire Cable. Ferrites?
As far as I know I only had problems with the old cable on 75 meters and it was a weird thing where the "High SWR" warning would come on but the SWR would be 1.7 to 1 or lower and rock steady. I had no RF in my audio or any other problems. I do intend to go back to running my Amplifier and that will change the amount of RF in my shack due to antenna proximity. Are you having a RFI problem with the new Firewire cable? If not, the additional ferrites are un-necessary. There is no need to fix what isn't broken. BTW, I did not add any ferrites to my Granite Digital Firewire cables, but then again I don't have a lot of stray RF in the shack since it is shunted to ground before it enters the house. If you do get ferrite beads, I recommend mix 77 -Tim -Original Message- From: flexradio-boun...@flex-radio.biz [mailto:flexradio-boun...@flex-radio.biz] On Behalf Of Steven L Hess Sent: Saturday, April 17, 2010 7:14 PM To: flexradio@flex-radio.biz Subject: [Flexradio] Granite Firewire Cable.
