Hi Jeff,

I see that you made your console available via the svn. Excellent!
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Barry.

If you're interested, you can find more info about it on my blog:
http://k6jca.blogspot.com/

(And again, my thanks to John Melton and his Java console for inspiring
me to make the effort to add the combined panadapter/waterfall display
to mine).

Cheers!

[Flexradio] John Melton Java GUI (Dec 29 update)

2007-12-29 Thread Ken N9VV
John Melton G0ORX/N6LYT has posted an updated
YouTube video of his new Java GUI for the
SDR-1000:

YouTube video of SDR-1000 Java GUI
I have uploaded this video of of the SDR-1000 Java GUI
running on the Mac.
The application is started from NetBeans and you can see the
Java code starting up the background processes: sdr1000
(hardware interface code),jack, sdr-core (RX), sdr-core (TX)
and then the jack-connect commands to connect it all up.

John Melton's (G0ORX/N6LYT) very cool combined Panadapter/Waterfall
display that he revealed yesterday on his blog inspired my to try the
same thing on my SDR Console (using the SVN code). Take a look at it here:

Looks good, Jeff. AOR's JA6UHL SDR rx combines them and always
wondered why others have not, but now you have! The combo displays
are great for the digital modes.

Hi Jeff,

Really nice enhancements of the console, especially the record and play
functions, I had always found difficult to use these functions in the
standard console.

May be these buttons could be integrated in the official console, one day.

Happy New Year to everybody on the list!
