[Flexradio] K9DUR Voice Keyer v1.1

2008-06-30 Thread Ray, K9DUR
Version 1.1 of my voice keyer program is now available for download from my
web site:

 http://www/qsl.net/k9dur/downloads.htm

This version incorporates fixes for all of the bugs that have been reported
to me so far plus an enhancement suggested by Tim Ellison, W4TME.

In summary, the changes are:

1.) All setup data is now stored in an .XML file in the program directory
instead of in the Windows registry. This allows the user to return all
setup parameters to their default values simply by renaming or deleting the
setup file.

2.) COM ports that are already in use by another program will not be
included in the list of installed ports. You should start any programs
using serial ports, such as PowerSDR, before starting VoiceKeyer.

3.) An issue concerning the program window location being reset to the
default (upper left-hand corner) under certain conditions has been fixed.

4.) An issue where the program would terminate with an error if you tried
to send a message with no profile selected has been fixed.

5.) An option has been added to be able to send messages by pressing the
F1-F10 keys in addition to clicking on a message button. (Enhancement
suggested by W4TME)

Tim also suggested adding a way to listen to the messages without using
PowerSDR. This can already be done simply by going into Setup Hardware
and selecting the Windows default sound card then selecting VAC again when
you are finished.

Again, I welcome any bug reports or suggested enhancements be sent directly
to me at [EMAIL PROTECTED]
