[Flexradio] Low Output

2010-03-24 Thread Jim Fuller - N7VR
Hi All,

I have the following:
Flex-3000
FlexDriver: 3.5.0.7171
Firmware: 1.2.5.6
PowerSDR: 1.18.5
Operating System: Win 7 64 Bit.

Last night the FlexDriver dropped. I shut down PowerSDR. I then powered off
the Flex-3000. When returning to air. The FWD PWR indicated about 10 to 15
Watts on SSB With the Drive setting at 100. I switched to the dummy load and
had the same problem. I reset the database and the same result. Frequency is
7.268.5KHz. Mic Gain Verified at 15 CODR at 5. Mic is a Yaesu MH-31. Tested
all Bands Same Results.

I decided to use tune to see the results, as previously I have been able to
tune into the dummy load at 100 watts. Max power indicated out was 19 Watts.
Cross checked with a external Watt Meter verifies output readings.

As I still had PowerSDR 1.18.3 on the computer, I tried it with the same
results. Database reset did not make any difference.

I think there may be an issue.

[Flexradio] Low output power

2006-03-17 Thread DAVID LEDUC

The output power on my flex radio is a bit low. I was getting aprox 65 watts
into a dummy load on 40 meters. The power supply that I am using is capable
of 30 amps and all of the connections to the flex radio are good. I
calibrated the PA using a dummy load. I am now getting 80 watts out. Is
this typical? The reason I ask is that the amplifier that I plan to use
requires 100 watts for full output.

Thanks for reading.

Dave,

Due to some ALC and limiter changes in the recent code, different
versions of PowerSDR behave differently related to power output. What
version are you using?
