The main component that determines the steepness of the filters is the
DSP buffer size, even at 1024 the filter is not harp on the edges, never
mind anything less, stay at 2048 or higher if you care about adjacent
signal rejection.

Gerd,
Actually, the selectivity is very effective, more like a brick wall even at
50hz. Have you completed all of the calibration routines?. All the I/O
cable plugs in secure? Try setting the DSP Buffer to 4096.
Could be something not right in the setup on the D44.Check the Flex
website knowledge base for setup numbers on the D44 soundcard control panel.

Subject: [Flexradio] Missing Selectivity ?

Hi Folks,

everything seems to be perfect with my SDR besides that I am missing
selectivity in CW mode. I can hear signals over a frequency range of about 2
kHz when the bandwith is set to 50 Hz.

I have changed sw from 1.6.3 to 1.8.0 and the audio interface from Audigy 2
ZS to D44 at the same time and remember to have heard better selectivity
before.

Any suggestions what could be wrong?

[Flexradio] Missing Selectivity ?

2006-12-31 Thread Gerd Loch
Hi Folks,

everything seems to be perfect with my SDR besides that I am missing
selectivity in CW mode.
