Re: [Flexradio] PTT Delay in HRD/DM780
If you are using CAT based PTT, try using a second virtual com port for the PTT line, this solved some delay issues for me. -Larry On Sep 21, 2011, at 2:51, Tim Ellison, W4TME t...@flex-radio.com wrote: I can't speak for DM780, as it is one of the more fickle third-party programs to get running and support and I don't use it for digital modes. If the problem was systemic in PowerSDR it would be an equal opportunity defect effecting all programs using a com port for keying. HRD has had a history of PTT delay. The solution was to use MiniDeluxe (http://kc.flexradio.com/KnowledgebaseArticle50484.aspx). I'd look into this as a possible solution. Re: [Flexradio] PTT Delay in HRD/DM780
I do use DM780 and HRD Logger as my primary choices. Using MiniDeluxe, as recommended here, solves all PTT delay issues. You click, the transmission starts. HRD is a great and powerful program if you aren't already using PowerSDR, which is a greater and more powerful way to do what HRD does and more. Using them both together is like putting your Fiat inside your Buick, and driving down the road. [Flexradio] PTT Delay in HRD/DM780
I've noticed I think since my recent upgrade to PWRSDR v2.2.3 that I sometimes see a delay in the PTT engaging while running PSK under DM780. Notice I said sometimes because other times I hit the send tab and transmit engages immediately, but most times there is quite a delay. Any thoughts?
