Jerry,

There several different flavors of pin outs for the different models of
radio from a particular manufacturer that you listed below.  The closest
this pin out match is Yaesu, but it is not 100% pin compatible since the
FLEX-5000 only needs pins for PTT and the mic input where other
manufacturers use the additional pins for other functions.

Does its pinout match a microphone found in just about every ham's shack?
There are probably tens of thousands of Yaesu/ICOM (maybe Kenwood also)
mikes out here in the real world that were included with the rigs we already
have. Same 8 pin connector, but will any of them work with the SDR-5000
without rewiring? Which ones?
