It appears that "SmartSDR" = "Deep Impact".

OK, I can live with that.

And even though I have put my 5000 up for sale to be replaced by a 6700, I
intend to keep my 3000 and 1500. The 3000 will be my portable rig and the
1500 will be my QRP rig.

Rather than continue enhance PSDR I rather see a new "middle layer" be written 
for the Flex- series radios that can take adavantage of the new 
presentation layer that SmartSDR brings to the table. That really is the only 
way that the true HW capabilities of the 5K can be exploited..
