Re: [Flexradio] Thank You Flexers

2014-03-12 Thread Michael
I agree, Neal is being way too modest. The PC I have today was built
using parts that were suggested by him. I have built my own PC's for
quite sometime and am quite experienced but if it hadn't been for Neal I
would have made some wrong choices as far as putting one together to
work well with my 1500. When I was getting ready to buy the PC parts, I
asked a question on this list about a particular MB and Neal steered me
away from it and suggested another one as well as the processor to go
with it. He also suggested the case so in effect he gave me a parts
list for a good bit of the computer. All this advice was free too, he
didn't make one dime off of it. He's a standup guy and a true gentleman.

I am getting compliments undeserved. Bill bought one of my machines and I
should have asked him about what software he wanted at the time of purchase
but I didn't so it wasn't exactly configured as he wished when he got it. I
truly want a "plug in and get on the bands" experience which he didn't have.
Then my back problems flared up and I wasn't able to get with him quickly
and resolve it, hence his plea to the group.

You are right though that this is the greatest group of guys, I have never
asked for help that I didn't get it. Flex is that kind of company also.

all my computer problems. I now have the Hercules DJ program in as
well as Bobs Meter program. My computer is now flawless and I love it.

All of a sudden I looked down and saw that Neil had written asking if
I was around and we began to talk. He asked if I wanted to know
about my DX programs that were put in by him. I told him I was not
really interested in DXing. He then asked if I liked the Digital
part of Flex and I told him not at this time as I just liked talking.
The next thing I knew this large note pad or something lik that came
on and Neil told me it was easier talking back and forth. We talked
this way for about an hour and at the end he said, "You have just had

your first experience with Digital Radio.

I laughed and said Really? So, I have learned that I now like Digital
and will learn to use it more.

I want to take this time to thank Neil; from the bottom of my heart.
I have been sitting around here for the past few months not really
having interest in much. I lost my interest in my fellow man and
have been avoiding contact with people. I realize now that I am
totally burned out from my career.

I have seen all you people come rushing out to try and help me with
all the various problems I was experiencing with trying to get this
Flex to do all I wanted it to do. You have all been great and it has
given me some new hope. I have found people who are nice and want to
help others and show a genuine concern for other people.

So, I thank each and every one of you for your concern and advice.

God Bless
