I believe in the early days of the 5000 there was some attempt to have it
work and it would not, but that was a long time ago.
I have also found a separate product that offers virtual audio card channel
( the name escapes me at the moment) but it only allowed 2 channels, did
not provide the neat utilities like audio repeater, and I could not see any
improvement over VAC. Also, it was more expensive (I think, or at a minimum
as expensive).
I do a periodic search for this every 3 months ago so when I see something
I think is better, I will let you know.
Since Jack works so well on Linux and is mature, it would be great if we
could get a version of it on the PC working!
