[Flexradio] Weird 1500 operation

2014-03-10 Thread Michael Walker
I'm out in the wilds of Alberta (ve6 land) with Ken va3sk.

We have a 1500 with us and it works on 1 computer and not the other.

So, on the failing one, we have no audio on the radio (but we do on VAC)
and no RF out.

I have tried to do a complete uninstall/reinstall, but no joy. Even a
database reset didn't help. This includes doing:

   - uninstall
   - delete the flex directory from program files
   - reboot
   - reinstall
   - reboot
   - still fails

I know that it is an installation issue.

Tim, how do I totally remove everything? What are the registry settings
that I need to go find to delete.

Both computers are w7/64. One works great (other than bad CW) and the
other fails poorly.

Mike:

Good morning. Let's try 2 things to see if we can get you going:

RESET YOUR DATABASE:
1. Power up radio
2. Start PowerSDR
3. Go to /SETUP/GENERAL
4. In the lower left, hit the FACTORY DEFAULTS button.
5. This will close the program.
6. Restart PowerSDR and see if that works.

MANUALLY RE-INSTALL the USB Driver
1. Power OFF the FLEX-1500
2. Go to C:\Program Files\FlexRadio Systems\PowerSDR v2.7.2 \1500 Driver64
3. Find the file uninstall.bat Right Click on the file and then click
RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
4. When it's finished... Reboot the PC
5. After rebooted ... Go to C:\Program Files\FlexRadio Systems\PowerSDR
v2.7.2 \1500 Driver64
6. Find the file wd_install.bat Right Click on the file and then click
RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
7. When it's finished... Reboot the PC
8. Power up the radio and let it finish the installation.
9. Start PowerSDR and see what's up.

FYI, this post looks like a direct request for HELP. With 6 different
radios and 2 radio operating systems now, our CS team is hopping pretty
fast. I would suggest for HELP questions in the future, submit a ticket to
http://helpdesk.flexradio.com . We are actually converting all HELP inputs
from email, phone, community, etc. to tickets so we can respond efficiently
and not drop anything along the way.

Good luck. If the above doesn't work, I'd suggest getting SUPPORT formally
in the loop.

Greg - K5GJ
