Re: [Flexradio] need more treble in my voice
Eric, The birth of a child is a true miracle. 30 years ago we were there. Our daughter was born, followed 10 years later by our son. If I've learned anything in the intervening years is that you must cherish them, guide and teach them. You WILL be rewarded. Wait til you have a daughter and she comes home on the back of a Harley (at 16) :-) Congratulations to your family. Live long and prosper. 73... OK I'll be the one to ask, how small is a small speed bump? 1 week maybe 2? The way I configure my outgoing audio is like so: Reduce the drive to 0. Press the QUICK RECORD Key up and speak as normal. Un-key. Stop QUICK RECORD Key up (0 drive) Press QUICK PLAY You can then listen to your audio. On the WAVE Settings just make sure you change the Options to select Post Processed Audio for Transmit. --- Richard A Clafton, W5\G7EIX 'the brITish guy' - rclaf...@riroc.com RIROC - Hosting - Development - Technology - www.riroc.com -Original Message- From: flexradio-boun...@flex-radio.biz [mailto:flexradio-boun...@flex-radio.biz] On Behalf Of dan edwards Sent: Friday, May 21, 2010 11:15 AM To: David Beumer W0DHB; 'Eric Joseph Castle'; flexradio@flex-radio.biz; Tim Ellison Subject: Re: [Flexradio] need more treble in my voice it is useful to listen to yourself on a second receiver with headphones to hear the impact of the settings, if you can. provided the filter in the rx is wide enough. tx into dummy load. works for me anyway..the 10 band eq is GREAT for shaping Tx audio..makes my cheap dynamic mike sound a LOT better...to me anyway.. good luck, w5xz, dan --- On Fri, 5/21/10, Tim Ellison wrote: From: Tim Ellison Subject: Re: [Flexradio] need more treble in my voice To: "David Beumer W0DHB" , "'Eric Joseph Castle'" , "flexradio@flex-radio.biz" Date: Friday, May 21, 2010, 4:10 PM I believe that if you are in SSB mode and use VAC, all of the signal processing (EQ, Compander) will be enabled. David I think you are correct .. Somehow I got stuck in my mind that that the VAC inputs bypassed equalizer, compander, etc. regardless of mode. Eric - try what Tim has suggested -- check out Mode specific Controls, Phone controls in the manual . Also, many PC sound cards' software have equalizers you could try that also. Reports are that my audio is very good but too bass, my voice is very low, they said I need more treble. I have looked and can't figure out how to do this. I assume there must be an equalizer that I can use somewhere, just can't find it. I am using my skype mic and it works good. Where is the adjustment for audio? My voice is very bass.
