Uh, I think you are confusing front and back Tim. When you look at a box,
the part where all the useful things are, i.e. the things you fiddle with
the most, is the front. On boxes with knobs that would be the knob side. On
boxes without knobs, that would be the connection side. Or, in the case of
really smart test equipment manufacturers, e.g. Tektronix, Agilent, et al,
you put everything on the front.
