Tnx to all for advise on using easy pal with my flex. Looks pretty straight
forward and I'll try and set it up this weekend while we sit around and get
hammered by the hurricane. First an earth quake and now a hurricane!

Re: [Flexradio] Easy PAL SSTV and Flex?

2010-11-28 Thread k4xtt
Every day. Works great. I set the audio levels in DIGIL or DIGIU
depending on which band I'm on and then switch to USB or LSB . Seems to
work better than using DIGIU or DIGIL alone.

Just watch your drive levels in the digital modes, especially Easypal.

Lot's of friendly help on 14.233 and especially 7.173 during the day.
Look for KB4YZ on 7.173. He's the OLD MAN of SSTV modes.

73 and good luck,
Vic

Re: [Flexradio] Easy PAL SSTV and Flex?

2010-11-28 Thread Steve Potter
Yes it works fine with VAC audio too, I use it on VHF with Rob & the
gang, also on HF 80, 40 & 20 Mtrs... generally on higher of the two SSTV
frequency's easy to identify Easypal on the waterfall too.
It is a 100% duty cycle mode so be aware of audio levels and power
output.

There are a few websites showing digital images sent / received around
the world, check out http://www.g0hwc.com/ or even mine on
www.g6hoq.com/sstv.htm

2010-11-28 Thread Gary Strong
I have been using EasyPal with SDR-1000 and now my Flex-3000 for quite a
while. It does take more compute power than other digital modes used with
PowerSDR, but seems to work just fine.
