Re: [Flightgear-devel] Re: Freeglut and game mode
I know you guys have taken care of this, but perhaps it bears repeating.. Check your XF86Config file(s). In some case incorrect monitor settings can result in X "turning off" the second monitor if the numbers for the desired unit don't meet spec or becomes confused if you have two different monitors for a dual headed card and don't call out the specific sync and refresh numbers. Re: [Flightgear-devel] CVS compiling error CYGWIN
Hi David, your help did not only save the day but the rest of the week, thank you very much :-) I could compile the CVS and FG is running! Have you tried adding -DNOMINMAX to your CFLAGS and CXXFLAGS? Mmh, this was behind my scope. If you ever have some time then tell me please where I find these "flags". Can I find something linke a config file anywhere? Alternatively try adding #ifdef HAVE_CONFIG_H # include #endif as the first include of each cxx or cpp file giving problems. This solved the problem. I just put it into the following 4 files (I hope I did not forget one): FGDeadband.h ../FGJSBBase.h FGFCSComponent.h ../FGPropertyManager.h !! As I have not got the skills until now to create a diff file to the cvs and I am not sure whether I have placed the stuff at the position in the code where it should be in a professional manner I would ask anyone who can do it for changing these CVS files to prevent trouble for other friends using Cygwin/CVS. Thank you in advance! I'm not using Cygwin any more BTW, so I'm posting blind, but I'm pretty sure it will turn out to be the old min/max redefinition problem again. Cheers - Dave Ok, now blind but pretty well remembering the way to go from the days you could see :-) :-) Thank you once again, I am really happy now. [Flightgear-devel] Freeglut and game mode
I have an application here where I need (a) to build with glut/freeglut and (b) I need to go full screen with no window decorations or portions of the desktop visible. (a) I need to run this on a multiheaded system and SDL completely blanks and locks out the second display when you run fullscreen. (b) this is for a full cockpit flight simulator so the only thing I want to see in the display monitors is the FG imagery. In the past with Debin and Glut, specifying --enable-game-mode has always worked for me as expected. But now I'm trying to do the same thing with freeglut-2.2.0 and Fedora Core 4. No matter what --geometry=WxH and --bpp=D values I specify, I always get a 640x480 window with a window title and a portion of the desktop visible. Is gamemode just broken in freeglut-2.2.0?
