Do you use a radeon and/or r200 chipset with the dri drivers?

Nobody other complained and it seems to work with the nvidia closed source
drivers.
So I *guess* that this is a driver problem with the radeon/r200.

But anyway, at the moment the c172 does not work either with the current data
directory.
From the data directory
Aircraft/c172p/Models/c172p-int-02.rgb
seems to be missing?

c172p-int-02.rgb is available in this package:
http://www.cyfinity.com/fgfs/c172p.tar.gz if it can't be found elsewhere.

The texture is used as a 'cheap cheerful' way of keeping the panel from
showing through the yokes / wings.

Notice that the filename in question
(FlightGear-0.9/source/scripts/java/Makfefile.am) is named Makfefile.am
instead of Makefile.am (notice the extra f after the 'k' in the name), which
I guess is not what this file is supposed to be called.

I never got an error message from this, btw, but Arnt mentioned it.

Just a reminder that some of us running BSD-clones (Mac OS X) have
case-insensitive file systems. I think that CygWin has the same issue
-- someone fixed some problems in the base package related to this not
too long ago with case-insensitive file conflicts.

In other words the file names 'atlas' and 'ATLAS' resolve to the same
file on Mac OS X with HFS+ file system:

ima% cat tmp
one
ima% cat TMP
two
ima% cat tmp
two
I know of no problems with the betas regarding this, however.
Thank you!

 Ronny

I've fixed the transparent wings bug in an updated version of the c172p model.
This however isn't in CVS yet so it obviously won't be in the release.

(It could go in the release if a core developer thinks it's good enough (hint
hint ;-) )

You can get my updates for the c172p here:
http://www.cyfinity.com/fgfs/c172p.tar.gz

(Back-up your existing c172p and then extract the above in your data/Aircraft
directory).

My modified version corrects the see-thru wings and also the see-thru yokes
(by virtue of a texture 'hack') along with geometry corrections for the whole
model.

Please refer any questions about my version to me rather than developers tho
to avoid confusion (at least until it gets a yay or nay for being in CVS)

Thanks :-)
