Re: [Flightgear-devel] How to define a new airport

2002-03-17 Thread Martin Spott

I'd like to define a new airport. How can I do that ? Is there any paper
 talking about it ?

There is FlightGear/docs-mini/AptNavFAQ.FlightGear.html with lots of useful
information but I have the impression that you need to regenerate scenery at
this location to include the new airport.

 airports around the world ?

These might serve as a starting point. But they list only those who are
officially 'open'. BTW, if anyone has data on FX01 (Chambley Airbase in
France where the annual RSA meeting takes place) - o.k., I admit, I'm
repeating myself

Martin.

The airports are defined in $FG_ROOT/Airports/default.apt.gz, but they
don't appear on the fly -- you have to rebuild your scenery using
TerraGear, and that's non-trivial. I'd like to add dynamic airport
generation at some point in the future, but it's a big job.

All the best,

David

[Flightgear-devel] How to define a new airport

2002-03-16 Thread Sergio Roth

Hi,

I'd like to define a new airport. How can I do that ? Is there any paper
talking about it ? Is there any place where we can get coordinates of all
airports around the world ?

Thanks.
