Hmmm, I think II remember a posting by Curt, meaning that FlightGear should
remain free of armament. I'd love to see that this is still true.
Actually Curtis wants this list free of politics. I agree with that, but
I can hardly call this politics. It's merely a killing joke.

I must admid I've hesitated if I should post it, but saw no harm in it
since it has nothing to do with pro or contra anything (maybe except
mothers in law).

Please excuse me for my mistakable posting. It was not my intention to
attack anyone personally.
Unfortunately even the most distant comment on military action inevitably
touches politics these days and, as Curt already mentioned, people have
different opinions on what's going on in our world today,

Martin.

No problem. I can handle it (I won't even think about the number of
jokes about the Dutch in the USA (and Germany?) ...)

Which is a good thing.

Hmmm...we have a flight model for that yet? We'd need a c-130 to roll it out
of as well. Or would the j3 with the door open be good enough? :-)

Sounds good to me. I was just playing off of Erik's joke. I am not
interested in combat sims either.

Best,

AFAIK, here[1] is our current position on this:

No, we do not currently support combat. Most of our developers are
primarily focused on civilian aviation. We aren't explicitly
excluding these features -- we just haven't had anyone who seriously
  wanted to develop these areas.

However, FlightGear does contain several military aircraft, albeit
  without munitions.
