The list has been narrowed and will be announced with the first issue. Which
will be published as soon as we have enough articles
There was a new one that popped up in my kind a few weeks back:
Raging Mustang
This because of our official logo.

What's the status on the FlightGear newsletter? Did a name ever get
chosen?

The list has been narrowed and will be announced with the first issue. Which
will be published as soon as we have enough articlesThere was a general call
for articles and several personal email requests sent to potential
contributors . ATM we have two submissions that need some editing ( they
encompass a total of 14 pages with a 9 point font :-o).

So if anyone out there would care to submit something, odds are it will be
accepted. Hoping to keep the letter around 6 pages with 10 point type.
Looking for news on conferences, lectures, symposia, and general flying
stuff. Details on the latest release, perhaps some human interet stuff
regards FG contributors/users might be interesting, and mulling over the
idea of an editorial section. I guess it all depends on what shows up at the
Editor's IN box.

Regards
John W.

[Flightgear-devel] Newsletter

2004-05-04 Thread John Wojnaroski
Hi,

Just got back late this evening, but before crashing wanted to say thank you
to Jonathan for taking the lead in finding a name for the newsletter and to
all those who submitted suggestions.

Just a quick comment...

How about a name that is a little more poetic and captures the esssence
and experience of flying.
Some idea from High Flight by Pilot Officer John Gillespie Magee, Jr., an
American serving with the Royal Canadian Air Force or The Little Prince by
Antoine de Saint Exupery, lost in a P-38 somewhere off the coast of North
Africa., or some other work or piece of literature on flying other than a
tech manual...

So put on those thinking caps and keep those cards and letters coming
in.

Okay, here is a rough outline for some possible sections/topics for the
newsletter
