 From the apr-1-config man page:
#
DESCRIPTION
The apr-1-config program is used to retrieve information about the apr
library in the system. It is typically used to compile and link
against the library.

When linking with libtool, an application should do something like:

   APR_LIBS=`apr-1-config --link-libtool --libs`

or when linking directly:

   APR_LIBS=`apr-1-config --link-ld --libs`
#

apr-1-config is part of the apr-util package.
Do you have apr-util installed ?

Re: [Flightgear-devel] Money and Contributions

2010-01-30 Thread Hans Janssen

 Although the booth comes at no cost, there is usually a good amount of money
 that has to be spent by the participants. Not only accomodation and travel,
 but insurance for equipment was once an issue. Last year, we bought six
 (IIRC)
 big side screen displays. Donations from a few of us made that possible.

I got a bill for almost 1000,- EURO just for umts bandwith use for last
FSWeekend ( wich i managed to smoothtalk down to 150.- though).
Just to say that people invest a huge amount of money and effort to
promote flightgear, specialy Durk and Martin, who do a lot for that.
I can't imagine the amount of money they spent every year.

I just did a build from cvs and did a quik run on KSFO with the c172

starts swapping until that is full and my system becomes unresponsive.

Sound is playing but it is off at 0.0 or full on from 0.01 to 1.0,
changing the volume between 0.01 and 1.0 doesn't do anything and at 0.01
there's almost no windy noise and i can here the atc-chatter, from 0.04
the noise is loud again.
Also the atc-chatter volume setting doesn't do anything, it is either on
or off.

I am running Arhlinux x86_64 with openal 1.9.563 and freealut 1.1.0.

 I have --build=i686 as a switch to configure. Where do I supply -march=?

 You set CXXFLAGS and CFLAGS (but the latter might not be needed). My
 configure line starts with:

 configure CFLAGS=-O2 -g -march=core2 -mfpmath=sse -Wall CXXFLAGS=-O2 -g
 -pipe -march=core2 -mfpmath=sse -Wall

 Thanks for the reply. I tried -march=i686 (in place of core2) as follows:
 ./configure CFLAGS=-O2 -g -march=athalon -mfpmath=sse -Wall
 CXXFLAGS=-O2 -g -pipe -march=athalon -mfpmath=sse -Wall
 --with-jpeg-factory

 and I still get the same compile errors. I have an AMD Athalon XP 3200+
 cpu. Using athalon in place of i686 will cause the configure to abort.

 Is the change to SGAtomic.cxx that causes this break really necessary?

 Dave P.

Hi,

athalon does not exist, i think you mean athlon.

[Flightgear-devel] Build fails with GCC 4.4.0

2009-05-24 Thread Hans Janssen
Compiling flightgear from cvs with gcc 4.4.0 fails on
utils/GPSsmooth/UGear_command.cxx.

It can be resolved by adding #include cstdio to the file.

My system is running on linux x86_64 if that matters somehow.

Nothing wrong with Arch, running fine here with only 1 or 2 minor issues
for the past 4 years.
Did a pacman -Syu last night and a cvs up on simgear this morning and it
builds fine with only some warning: deprecated conversion from string
constant to 'char*' lines.
