I was sure it would be necessary for the PersistenceSpecification
class in namespace FluentNHibernate.Testing. Now I must find out that
it wasn't.

In what way are you depending on it? FluentNHibernate.Testing is our unit 
tests assembly, and is not a part of our redistribution. If you want it, you 
should get the source code and build it.
