Albeit tangential to you posting I have been able to win the cooperation of the local brigade> to do a eggdrop> from the top of their  at approximately 7:30 PM <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> as a part of the something> we’re doing on thursday> prior to the concert> at The METZ at approximately 8:11 PM.

Arrangement have also been made to document the first ever eggdrop> and we expect to release a DVD soonish after the event. Will will of course acknowledge you unless you wish to be left out of the equation.

No, no, I'm sure I don't get it. Of course I'm clueless, I can almost 
see smashing a guitar on stage as an act of defiance and crude energy 
but I fully miss the ...what, the point?, I miss why anyone would smash 
a piano to smithereens. A great big smashing bang and large chords of 
sound and then splinters. And no more piano. Piano murder? Vandalism as 
performance Are these untuned pianos? Please explain.

I’m here to announce my excitement, and appreciation>,  that Madawg PoD has sent me a wonderful gift> and it IS truly wonderful>. 

BUT there is more and there’re some delightful concurrences> in this gift that Dawg could  hardly (never?) have anticipated that are FLUXUS>. I’ll list some:

Despite coming via male> it didn’t come via Africa and did reach the  edge of the world
I was notified that it had arrived at the edge of the world on friday> the first day of worldSILLYweek
I was unable to collect it from my local office> until saturday> which my good wife did for me at 11: 11 AM the most auspicious time each day during worldSILLYweek 
It contained not one but three reproductions of Mr. Kinkade’s work in a saw> format – the very best format in which his work should be appreciated
 Because the declaration> was for “Puzzle & Magazine” – and NOT ART when it is very clear that this parcel didn’t contain ART but was ART –  the good folks at Customs decided that its contents were subversive and opened it looking for a WMD or something, found a puzzle as declared, had a go at solving them while reading the magazine, mixed them all together and reassembled the parcel – which again is quite probably the  only format in which Mr Kinkade’s work might be understood as ART, albeit in a cageian> kind of way
My good wife of <30plus> years finally decided to come out of the closet and reveal that she was a freak> – I’m a  dissident> – AND that she was going to (A) unravel these paintings and (B) write to the Minister for Customs and protest about his staff’s actions despite my protestation they they had made art –  I suspect that she is trying to annoy me
I was bereft of thing to do on sunday> –tomorrow – for worldSILLYweek and now I have something extraordinarily SILLY to do that is quite FEAKY and a total waste of time

So Dawg, your parcel’s arrived couldn’t have been more auspicious and it is appreciated>  and just so cageian>!!!

My problem now is,  what can I send Dawg from the edge of the world that could match this saturday> gift> ??? Now I’m open to suggestions and I will consider ANY reasonable proposal!!

This picture is an idea for a project we could do for fluxlist
a sort of  website based project but we need to keep the images small
for those of us who have limited email space. I think we should send images
imbeded in the emails. Of your work yourself and ideas to be done. The website thing
comes in because all of our emails are accessible through a simple search for fluxlist 
and another members name. say you put in yourown name you will get a list of emails 
you have sent. So i was thinking this is a fun and easy way to make websites. with links and pics alike. just keeping it small.
giving those who stumble onto the fluxlist site a better sense of what we are doing.

unfortunately, due  to a business dinner (organised by italians!) i missed
the game.
however i did get to eat really well and as for the wine (we went to the
same place today for a staff lunch -oh cruel fate...etc etc.)
commiserations to the swiss nation, but remember!  you make really cool
multi-purpose knives!
and i can only apologise to those 7 million for the forthcoming
disappointment.

our secretary is swiss, and makes great cakes.

in the context of the event "Milan live",  on June 19th 1004, 
curated by Silvia Venuti for D’Ars-Oscar Signorini 
Foundation, poets, artist poets and poet artists, who 
collaborated  and cooperate with D’Ars Studio. They are authors who 
published with quality editors, and in their research are active 
contemporaneously in visual art, written word, and sometimes 
music.Caterina Davinio, techno-artist, writer, has done 
curatorial and consultant activity in Italian and 
international festival of new media art/poetry. She experiments in 
computer art, net-art, video, digital visual poetry, Internet-performance. Her 
works has been featured in more than 80 exhibitions world wide. Author of the 
essay Techno-Poetry and Virtual Reality, Mantova, 2002 (preface by 
Eugenio Miccini); of the novel Color color, Campanotto,1998, she 
has published short essays, poems, and digital works in international 
reviews of the avant-garde. Among the on line projects, referring points for 
international experimentation between electronic art and writing: 
"Karenina.it", recently awarded in Madrid, “Global Poetry” (2002), “GATES”, 
2003. She has been awarded in 2003 with XX° Oscar Signorini Prize 
for her work in electronic art and writing.Gino Fioravanti, 
painter, poet and musician, expert of alchemy and oriental traditions. He has 
published, with an introduction by Vincenzo Guarracino, the poetry book 
Occhi di grana fluida, Signum edizioni d’arte, 2003; Aromaterapia 
e  musica, Xenia; Gli dei dell’anima, Editore Capitol. He is 
author of music for relax and meditation.Isa Di Battista 
Gorini, born in Milan, where she attended the Fine Art 
Academy Brera. She worked in industrial graphic arts and applied art. After 
the 60s she worked exclusively in painting, researching new forms and 
materials, and exhibiting her works in several solo and group 
exhibitions in Italy and abroad. She has published the poetry book Segni 
trasparenti , with an introduction by Angelo Gaccione, Edizioni Nuove 
Scritture, Milano,1994; La pittura come ricerca, Nuove Edizioni 
Culturali, Milano,1985; monograph Isa Di Battista Gorini, Edimond, 
2001.Maria Teresa Mazzola born in Milan. Graduated in 
Philosophy at the State University of Milan, she was teacher and 
contemporaneously attended painting courses at Fine Art Academy Brera, 
and studio of the sculptor Eros Pellini. She published Brindo con gli 
amici… Amodeo, Grafica Bolognese, 1986.Mara Novelli 
born in Florence. Since 1987 lives in Ferrara. Poet and journalist, collaborates 
with the newspapers La Nazione and Il Resto del Carlino. In 1983 was 
finalist in Viareggio Prize “Opera prima” with the book Le lune 
fuggitive. In 1994 she published Lo zoo di carta, receiving 
several recognitions, and in 2003, with an introduction by Guido 
Fink, published In qualche luogo non lontano, Paolo Sacchi 
Editore.Vittoria Palazzo, poet, journalist, cultural 
operator, she collaborated with the review D’Ars in the 60s with column 
dedicated to poetry. She published poetry books with Vallardi 
Publisher, and founded the cultural centre “Il Salice” in Ivrea. She 
received the Ambrogino d’oro, as recognition from Milan Municipality. 
She recently published the lyric poems collection Paesaggi dell’anima, 
Studio Mic Roma, illustrated with watercolors by Cristiano & Patrizio 
Alviti.Alessandra Pittini born in Gemona del Friuli. 
She studied in Venice, improving her violin studies and attending the Fine Arts

Michael, 

Thanks for that since my post I’m pretty sure that we can get a crane with a ‘5 story lift’ and we also seem to have found an appropriate industrial site that’s now part of a cultural precinct. BUT we will acknowledge your suggestions and keep them in mind if the crane or helicopter fails for some reason.

In fact we have a standard upright piano already donated which is why I sent my post but again ALL your suggestion will make a great contribution to how we document the  event.

Question!! ! Does anyone know how many “Yoko Ono Piano Drops” there have been. It would be good to acknowledge that!

that sounds good! let's suppose the french adapt fluxball, dribbling the
ball into their own goal, say, five times when they play switzerland, while
our team plays "normal" football for once. then england and croatia might
decide to play nillball, where 22 people cick the ball out of the field for
90 (ok 94 ;-) ) minutes avoiding to score any goals at all. then england AND
switzerland would qualify! we're absolutely on track! everything is fine!

 I think England were very lucky to win tonight
despite the terrible heat and valiant Switzerland

i can't help but feel at a loss, having grown up here in maine
yet never once did i make the couple hour trek up to his home in belfast
my friends who did venture up always came back with quite the tales!

anyone planning any sort of tributes?
