Find “Cin Cin Man” score http://cincinman.info The IDEA is to create a project where 1000 COVERS of “Cin Cin Man” song will be composed and published. We initiated PREPARATIONS process from collection and coordination centre in Amsterdam. The outposts are created on all (sub) continents: in Australia, New Zealand, Asia (Japan, China, Thailand…), Africa (South Africa, Senegal…), South America (Argentina, Brazil…), North America (USA…), Europe (Holland, Germany, Spain, Italy, UK…), Middle East (Egypt, Lebanon…). Caribbean (Cuba)… In all this places a composer/musician from our existing network is making (or already made) a cover. Covers range in style from ring tones, pop songs, classical composition, opera, jazz, muzak, country and western, Zulu, bossa nova, rock, r&b, un-describable etc… all very personal and unique. They still bear the title “Cin Cin Man”. These covers are available on www.cincinman.info, together with names and e-mail contacts of the makers. All the potential future composers (YOU!!!) are able to hear and download existing covers. All the composers are able to contact each other and exchange files. All the new covers are COPYLEFT as well. As new covers are pouring in, each is placed on the website with the name and e-mail contact of the maker. The moment cover number 1000 arrives to the database of the coordination centre in Amsterdam, the FINAL PHASE will be initiated. Anthology COMPILATION disc will be released with 1000 versions of “Cin Cin Man”. In the contest of a meeting of Italian artists and poets against war in Milan at the Mudima Foundation (an important and large exhibition space in Milan) on March 31, will be also presented a section of international experimental video, videopoetry and computer animations, selected and curated by Caterina Davinio. Who wants to submit materials to the curator can send them to the address of karenina.it Office (scoll down for this address). Remember that: 1. Topic of the video/computer works must be: PEACE/AGAINST WAR. 2. Typology of the videos: only non narrative, experimental videos are requested. Performance or poetry readings simply recorded in video are not accepted: are videos experimental in the use of the video/computer language; we are particularly interested in concrete/visual poetry developed in video or in computer animation. Also requested are works which utilize verbal language, literary text, poetry, in the electronic media, not as simple superimposition, but in a new grammar that coniugates text, electronics and visual aspects. 3. Length: max 3 min, but better if shorter. 4. Format: only videocassette VHS standard PAL (we accept also files recorded on CD ROM, ONLY: short animated gif, avi, mpeg, but they will be re-recorded on a videocassette, for this reason works on videocassette are preferred). 5. Call for Entries "Pictures of the Night Time Sky" Salvaggio Museum of Modern Living http://www.salvaggio-museum.org/night/ The Salvaggio Museum of Modern Living is looking for artists and non artists alike to participate in its new exhibition, "Pictures of the Night Time Sky." We hope that you will send us a photograph documenting the evening sky in your home town, along with your name and location. Following the mandate of the Salvaggio Mandate, we wish to stress that this is not neccesarily a photography exhibition. It is, literally, a sky exhibition. As such, we will favor images which exclude extraneous information such as buildings, street lights, and the moon. Images taken while intoxicated are welcomed and expected, with no apologies required. A sample photograph is available at http://www.salvaggio-museum.org/night. The show will be opened in time to coincide with our involvement in Frankfurts "Free Manifesta," a public art exhibition produced in conjunction with the European Biennial of Contemporary Art. To participate; please send your digital or scanned photographs, as well as [very important!] your name and location to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]. Everyone who submits will be accepted, with the greatest and most intense of all gratitudes. -Eryk Salvaggio, Museum of Modern Living http://www.salvaggio-museum.org http://www.salvaggio-museum.org/night/
