Please do not reply directly to this email. All additional comments should be made in the comments box of this bug. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=466678 --- Comment #6 from Bug Zapper fedora-triage-l...@redhat.com 2010-04-27 08:16:38 EDT --- This message is a reminder that Fedora 11 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 11. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '11'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 11's end of life. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 11 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora please change the 'version' of this bug to the applicable version. If you are unable to change the version, please add a comment here and someone will do it for you. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. [Issue 54944] Provide way to mark forced font replacement
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=54944 User fallenguru changed the following: What|Old value |New value CC|'fedorafonts,fl,hdu, jeongk|'fallenguru, fedorafonts,fl |yu,maxweber, meywer,pl,ssa,|,hdu, jeongkyu, maxweber, mey |us' |wer,pl,ssa,us' --- Additional comments from falleng...@openoffice.org Tue Apr 27 17:16:52 + 2010 --- First of all, this is really similar to issue 45128, maybe merge or mark as duplicate? In the long run full control over font / glyph fallback and substitution would be desirable of course but as that's a big (UI) change maybe some of the following could be implemented: - a warning (on opening a document) that substitution is taking place. - an option to turn off all substitution and live with black boxes or boxes with the Unicode codepoint number in them. Make it an environment variable if that's easier - an indication in the font dropdown box that substitution is taking place (at the cursor position / in the selection). A symbol, different color, anything. - a way to search for substituted glyphs / fonts - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
