It should be no problem for you to become a committer, but if you prefer I could commit it too. Due to the use of a VCS that doesn't care about the difference between author and committer I'd prefer the former to preserve your authorship. -- Configure bugmail: http://openoffice.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are on the CC list for the bug. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Bugzilla. [Issue 111292] Missing fonts in exported PDF when running -headless
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=111292 --- Additional comments from h...@openoffice.org Fri Sep 10 14:17:20 + 2010 --- Setting the env-variable SAL_DISABLE_FC_SUBST before starting the app in non- headless mode results in the same exported PDF as the app in headless mode, because headless mode doesn't request external font substitutors. And the internal ones do know neither 黑体 nor SimHei (requested in the doc) nor WenQuanYi. If you want SimHei to be always substituted by a member of the WenQuanYi family (if SimHei is not available) then please extend VCL.xcu accordingly. If you want to have the full blown capacity of the non-headless app with all its resource requirements including all the libraries and config-files also needed by the non-headless version then the question has to be asked why bother with headless mode at all? Because the installer is responsible for instalingl stuff on the system in such a way that the package dependencies are fulfilled and conflicts are avoided. > Do you know that we offer installations with non root privileges? > And also installations of simple tar.gz files. And this works because as long as there are no conflicting packages there is no conflict. > Why do you want to add this complexity into the installation, if it is not > necessary? It only becomes necessary if there are conflicting system-wide packages on the system. > The correct fonts for each of our OOo builds are always available in > share/fonts/truetype. An app can guide the system to do what it wants ("here is the file, please use it") but one cannot fight the system ("use this file even when the system insists on using its own file"). Kernel/Root/Admin tend to win... > Did you check, if fontconfig works correctly? And even then it would not be a problem unless they pushed an obsoleted version. Platforms such as WIN do not even allow to register an app-specific font as temporary if the font has a system-wide equivalent. So the installer must make sure that if there is a system-wide OpenSymbol installed then that file needs to be updated in the installation process. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. AFAIK no fonts provided by the distributions were affected. [Issue 107834] sw: at various zoom value s the pseudu-bold/italic disappears in writer
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=107834 User hdu changed the following: What|Old value |New value IssuesThisDependsOn| |100611 Assigned to|hdu |od --- Additional comments from h...@openoffice.org Mon Feb 15 16:12:24 + 2010 --- Here is what is happening: An obsolete heuristic (see issue 100611 for details) triggers for some scenarios. Now Writer tries to use a different font and like Caolan already described the attribute bits can get lost during this process. Refreshing them to the attributes original request makes very much sense. Getting rid of the whole if-branch which tries to use a different font than the requested font would make even more sense. This has been so at least since bitmap-fonts and nine-pin printers with builtin-fonts- only got out of fashion. @od: using the uming.ttc helped me to reproduce the problem here. I copied it into your shared folder. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
