Re: Borders disappeared

2002-04-09 Thread Jeremias Maerki

Border support on table-rows has been disabled (for now) because of
certain problems. You have to specify the border properties on table and
table-cell. As a compensation border stuff of table-cell has improved a
lot since 0.18. I hope this helps.

Note the names "Rel" and "Dev" refer to branches; 1.1.1 and 1.2.1
respectively.

So:

$ co -rRel names
names,v  -->  names
revision 1.1.1.2
done
$ cat names
$Id: names,v 1.1.1.2 2002-04-10 08:36:59+10 pbw Exp $
$Name:  $
1.1.1.2

Note the empty Name keyword. co -rDev gives a similar result. But:

$ co -rRel_1 names
names,v  -->  names
revision 1.1.1.2
done
$ cat names
$Id: names,v 1.1.1.2 2002-04-10 08:36:59+10 pbw Exp $
$Name: Rel_1 $
1.1.1.2

fills in the blanks.

However:
$ co -r1.1.1.2 names
names,v  -->  names
revision 1.1.1.2
done
$ cat names
$Id: names,v 1.1.1.2 2002-04-10 08:36:59+10 pbw Exp $
$Name:  $
1.1.1.2

I.e., unless the actual revision you check out has a symbolic name AND
you check it out using that name, the $Name$ keyword will be empty.

Yes, thanks.
I needed to write some page-numbers, block id's, and number of pages
generated to alternate output text files for later use and I want to create
extensions to do this.

It is generated during the build, presumably from
src/codegen/extproperties.xml. Look into build.xml for details.

Are you working on implementing your own extensions?

Oops, i just discovered i've build my FOP from 0.20.3rc2.
The final release works indeed.
Sorry for the confusion.

BTW: I took initiative and set the associated bug #6009
to RESOLVED (accidentally).

Actually, does someone feel responsible for managing
bug reports? There seems to be a loong backlog.

I could take a look at it from time to time, in addition
to FAQ writing (progress is slow, but measurable).

Re: [discuss] FW: FOP License Issue Inquiry

2002-04-09 Thread Sander Vesik

Ahem.

I would personally really preffere if people did not just randomly go off
and ask other projects to change or extend licencing so OOo could
integrate that software. Such people *DEFINATELY* don't speak for OOo and
passing themselves off as such is at best misleading.

There is no general requirement that software that OOo makes use of be
licenced under LGPL - for that matter, software contribution in teh OOo
cvs are under both LGPL and SISSL, there is no "must be under LGPL" policy
- there are plenty of such examples in OOo, starting off with berkley db,
stlport and james clarck's xt. There are many others.

There are presently no concerete plans to integrate or use fop in OOo that
I am aware. Any such use will probably also be sufficently loosely coupled
as to not (IMHO) cause LGPL related problems.

Talking with myself here. Fop has Swing and AWT stuff in it. This
might be creating a conflict with apple's Cocoa events.

Shouldn't Fop have the UI separate from the render process? I appears
to be mixed to me.
