I want to extract image from my xml file using xsl
styling.

What would be my xsl file so that i can get the image 
extracted from the xml file.I don't want to write
 again in my xsl also.

file using the img element using xsl stylesheet.
that is, if my xml file is: 




How my a.xsl would be,so that i get image in browser.
i don't want to write 
 in my xsl also.
what is the right way to extract.

Hi all,
How can I extract the image defined in xml file with
 tag, in xsl-fo file so that I can get the image
in pdf file.

that is,my xml tagged like 

what should be my xsl-fo code so that I can get
abcd.gif in pdf.
i don't want again to write

instead i want to use

Linking inside a single pdf file made using fop??

Hi all,
how can i make a pdf file in which there is liking
from one location to another using FOP.
IS it possible with fo:basic-link? If yes, what is the

syntax.
I linked two pdf files using fo:basic-link.
But my actual need is to have an index which links to 
the specified topic locations in the same pdf file.
any help is greately appreciated.

Yeah,i'm using xslt but all the tags of xslfo is
working well in xslt.My actual need is to make pdf
from a pure xml data file with xslt by using fop.
So it's necessary for me to use .xsl instead of .fo

why don't u make ur own font metric xml file for
arial?
You can make it from ttf files easily by using the
class TTFReader in fop.

XHTML to PDF using FOP????

HELLO,
can anybody help me to convert my XHTMLinto pdf.
the XHTML I'M GIVING BELOW.if I avoid all the anchor
tags()tags and table tags and make it pure xsl data
file then i'm easily able to write xslfo file for this
and it is making good pdf.
But for the given Xhtml file how i write xslfo.My real
confusion is where there is table,tr,td tags and also
anchor tags.
Can anyone help me.

3.Click the sheet-tab Score to bring
the worksheet Score to front. Now let us select the
range B4:E7 (figure 10.26 shows the data to be
copied). Click the cell B4, press the Shift key (and
hold it down), click the cell E7, release the Shift
key. Now the range B4:E7 is successfully

4.Choose Edit  Copy (or click the Copy
tool) and the data in the range gets copied to the
clipboard. Also a running, dotted rectangle (also
called marching ants, marquis, or moving boundary)

long as marching ants are present. In order to remove
these marching ants simply strike the Esc key. 
5.We want to paste this data in the 
Sheet2
of Sales Data.xls therefore, choose Window  Sales Data
(or click the Sales Data icon on the taskbar) in order
to make the workbook Sales Data to be current one.
Then click the sheet-tab Sheet2 to bring the worksheet
Sheet2 to the front. 
6.Click the cell B4 and choose Edit  
Paste
(or click the Paste tool). Alternatively, click the
cell B4 and simply strike the Enter key. Also, strike
the Esc key to remove the marching ants. 
When you choose Edit  Cut (or click the Cut
tool) then data in the selected cells is moved to the
clipboard. Before concluding this section, notice:






When you copy that data in a range 
to
clipboard, marching ants appear around the selected
range. These marching ants indicate that Paste tool is
enabled.When pasting is done, strike the Esk key to
remove these marching ants. As marching ants are
removed, Paste tool becomes disabled.

Unknown Font

hello all,
Now i got my userconfig file read.but the font i
embedded is not taking into consideration.error
unknown font is occuring.
I built the font metric  xml file and customised the
userconfig.xml as per the docs provided.I was trying 

java -cp fop.jar org.apache.fop.fonts.apps.TTFReader 
-fn c:\Windows\fonts\SHIVB___.ttf
c:\Windows\fonts\SHIVB___.ttf shiva.xml.
Am i doing anything wrong here.
please anyone help me

userconfig.xml file not found error???????

Hello,
I made my font xml file.But when i use the command
line argument 
java -cp fop.jar org.apache.fop.fonts.apps.TTFReader 
-fn c:\Windows\fonts\SHIVB___.ttf
c:\Windows\fonts\SHIVB___.ttf shiva.xml
error userconfig.xml file not found is occuring.but
that file is in conf directory.I customised that file 
to include my font metric file.
I couldn't understand why the error is happening after
having the file there.
please anyone help me.

from where i get batik.jar and xml.jar.Actually 
i downloaded xml-batik and built that.But in the 
/lib/build  directory i couldn't see batik.jar.
expecting help.

hello
i have the ttf file and was trying to make fontmetric 
file using TTFReader class which is in fop.jar file.I
was trying with 

java -cp fop.jar java
org.apache.fop.fonts.apps.TTFReader
C:\fonts\SHIVN___.ttf C:\fonts\SHIVN___.ttf shiva.xml

but error no class found is obtaining.But i can see
the
TTFReader class in fop.jar.what is happening wrong
with me.
help expected.

how can i generate font metric file from pfb fies
which comes with font files.I don't have pfm files.I
read that The PFMReader tool does not yet interpret
PFB files.Please help me.
