Problem with text generated in Pdf using FOP

2014-03-21 Thread anmol gupta
Hi,

I am using Docbook 5 and Fop 1.1 to generate my pdfs. So the problem that i
am facing is as follows:
I have included a common file in all my pdfs. But in some of them(not all
pdfs) the text crosses footer section.
Earlier i thought it might be the xsl stylesheet issue, but it is not
happening in all the pdfs and i also check with the docbook forum.
It seems FOP utility is going somewhere wrong for few pdfs.
Is there a way to fix this issue which might be more generic and not
particular to the a particular pdf,

Thanks and Regards,
Anmol

I am not really familiar with DocBook, but I think you need to provide more
information about the issue (ex fop configuration file , fo file and pdf
output) to make it easier for people to reproduce it, and help you.

PDFPainter

2014-03-21 Thread markus.sticker.epos
Hi,

I want to modify the FOP a little bit for my own use,
because I recognized that the scaling of an images will not
be used if I have it rotated.

So what I did:

In my FO-Tree:
...
fo:block-container reference-orientation=90
  fo:block id=id1078021 space-before.minimum=1em
space-before.optimum=1em space-before.maximum=1em space-after.minimum=1em
space-after.optimum=1em space-after.maximum=1em
fo:block id=id1078016
  fo:external-graphic
src=url(file:///c:/images/homer.png) width=100% height=auto
content-width=scale-to-fit content-height=100%/
/fo:block
  /fo:block
/fo:block-container
...

(Homer is a very very large image.)

Now in the PDFPainter.class I get the viewport and modify the rect.height and
.width in the drawImage method (ok ... this not nicest way )
So what I now need is the information is that image rotated or not. Is there
a easy way to get this information?

Kind regards

PostScript problem / DCDecodeFilter

2014-03-21 Thread Gonzalo Vasquez
Hi everybody,

I've been having great progress with the image treatment for my PostScript
output, succeeding in inserting black and white PNG images, but still have in
issue with color JPEG ones.

The resulting PostScript file is both opened and viewed correctly in GhostView
(Linux), but not on the Preview application from OSX, on this one you get the
error from the attached image.

It says: Error: ioerror; OffendingCommand: image; Errorinfo: DCTDecodeFilter
Source error on end in marker before scan 1 8x8 block 552.

Is there any special configuration that I need to enable? Or anything else to
make this compatible across most platforms.
