A small update: we should have sent out on Friday. There were a few setbacks in the 1.16 RC2 prep: First of all FactoryGirl was renamed to FactoryBot which failed the build. This happened right after we tagged so we had to retag and spend some time waiting on rebuilds. After that was done Koji went down due to some hardware issue on AWS. Recovery from that took longer than expected. You'd think it was easier in the cloud ;) Also looks like the rsync daemon wasn't started up after rebooting. Tomorrow we'll continue. There seems to be a problem with Puppet 5 with the Foreman-installer. https://github.com/theforeman/puppet-puppet/issues/549 It seems to be merged in master: https://github.com/theforeman/puppet-puppet/pull/548/files Doesn't seem to be installed in 1.16RC. Hello all, While Daniel is on PTO I'd like to take over the 1.16 RC2 preparation. From the installer side I can handle it, but will need help from a core maintainer and a proxy maintainer to tag releases. As a start I'd like to get a list. The open and found in release 1.16.0[1] shows: * http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/21300 LDAP Authentication doesn't work for Foreman 1.16 RC1 Untraiged * http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/21218 Foreman 1.16 RC1 on Debian 9.1 with puppetserver 5.1.3 One issue that'll be solved by using the newer puppet-puppet module, another with dynflow. * http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/21230 Foreman 1.16-RC1 provisioning template "Kickstart RHEL Default" is missing switch for Puppet 5 Will be solved by importing the 1.16-stable branch from community templates. These shouldn't be blockers so unless anyone objects I'd like to get RC2 out early next week.
