[foreman-users] Problems with template proxy

2017-05-10 Thread apgriffiths79
Hi,

I have a proxy configured do to template proxying. The capability is
reported against the smart proxy in the Foreman UI and I can use curl to
fetch the templates but when the grub config is written out it contains a
URL to the master server. I have to manually edit the file to point to the
proxy instead. I've run the proxy in debug but can't see anything to
indicate why this.

Any pointers on where I can look to get to the bottom of this?

I'm running Katello 3.3/Foreman 1.14.3.

Thanks,

Alan

[foreman-users] [Katello] Remote Database

2017-03-28 Thread apgriffiths79
Hi,

Ideally I would like the option to configure Katello with a remote
database. This is supported in Foreman, but from what I can see candlepin
installation scripts are hard coded to assume a local db. Is there any
technical reason for this? I would have assumed it's just a JDBC connection
and is agnostic about the location?

Thanks,

Alan

[foreman-users] [Katello] 3.2 to 3.3 upgrade issues

2017-03-20 Thread apgriffiths79
Hi,

Having issues upgrading from 3.2 to 3.3. The server part went OK, but the
smart proxy fails.

Firstly there seems to be a typo in step 2, the URL for the foreman repo is
incorrect, should
be http://yum.theforeman.org/releases/1.14/el7/x86_64/foreman-release.rpm.

Then on step five the foreman-installer command provided gives an error of,
"Parameter certs-regenerate is missing a value on the command line". It's
not listed in the output from --help, but I guessed at a value of "true".
The modified command runs but the process fails with " must be present at
/usr/share/katello-installer-base/modules/foreman_proxy_content/manifests/init.pp:103

on node ".

I'm assuming this is because I need to provide the oauth keys, but
attempting to provide them just gives "ERROR: too many arguments".

Any pointers on where I've gone wrong?

Thanks,

Alan

Yep, that's fixed it. Thank you for your assistance.

I've put some in place (and fixed system clock) and can register new
hosts now, but the two broken hosts are completely wedged. Any way to
 forcibly remove them?

[foreman-users] ovirt 4 integration problems

2016-07-26 Thread apgriffiths79
Hi,

I have Foreman 1.11.4 (actually Katello 3.0) and I'm trying to setup a
compute resource on ovirt 4.0. When I trigger Load Datacenters on the
initial configuration page I get "Unable to save undefined method `+' for
nil:NilClass".

Is ovirt 4 supported? Can anyone give me any pointers? Hitting the API with
curl seems to work fine - I can list the DCs.

Thanks,

Alan
