  For version 3.5.2+dfsg-1
  https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?suite=unstablep=afflib
says that it's working for alpha, i386 and powerpc but fails for the
rest (again it's being the test suite that fails with test_passphrase.sh).

Did anyone of you contact upstream of afflib already?

Upstream is aware of the issue and will provide a new upstream
release which addresses this issue soon.

Just uploaded afflib_3.5.7. I've built it in a clean amd64
environment without any problems, so hopefully this upload resolves
this issue. Not closing this bugreport before having the according
buildd logs available though.

 Thank you,
I will try to package as soon as it's available.

Simsons sent me a mail: 3.5.4 should fix your problem.
JFYI

Bug#552049: afflib: FTBFS everywhere but alpha i386

2009-11-04 Thread Michael Prokop
* Cyril Brulebois k...@debian.org [20091105 00:35]:

 Package: afflib
 Version: 3.5.0+dfsg-1
 Severity: serious
 Justification: FTBFS

 https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?suite=unstablep=afflib

as of this writing, failed everywhere it has been tried except alpha
(and the uploaded i386). Serious since it was previously built on some
 archs, like powerpc.

I just uploaded a new version of afflib which hopefully addresses
this issue. The upload will NOT close this bugreport automatically
but instead we (the Debian forensic team) will be monitoring this
issue and react accordingly then.

thanks regards,
