Thanks for your help check, I think I have a list of questions want to ask you,
but I think I didn't have time recently days to summarize the questions, so I
plan to do it in next week sometime with a separate email.

I didn't know Hua Zhao for now, but I think after your session we will know
each other:)

Ah, I wasn't aware you were still using it. Should mention that
in my presentation then ;-)

Now you may want to host the pbconf repo yourself, as part of the
fossology SVN repo if you want (probably best for the project)
OR
I can create an account for you in the pb repo so that you can make all
required changes to the pbconf structure as you want.

Also I can give you pre-built VMs for f12, f13 or some other distros if
you need them to have a quicker setup.
Also you can now use rpmbootstrap (and debootstrap of course) to use
chroot instead if you find it more easy.

And last, let me know if you need support, patches, or anything in the
project to make it fully usable for FOSSology.

> Looking forward your session, Thanks Bruno!

Great that you attend ! If you know Hua Zhao (HPES-BAS-China-SH) he also
will attend the session, so I think it would be great if you can touch
base with him as well.

Greetings,
Bruno.

Yes, Bruno. For now I already use Project-Builder to create rpms for FOSSology,
but with a few problems like Mary said. I have created an instructions what I
am using now. http://fossology.org/fossology_rpm_package_process
You can help to check if I have something wrong here.

Looking forward your session, Thanks Bruno!

Yes, I agree. Vincent has used Project-Builder with some success but, has a run
into a few problems, too. He will be attending your presentation next week.

Thanks Bruno!

Mot, why are you running yum with --skip-broken? Also, can you please
paste the full output of the yum install command?

Maybe time to re-consider the possibility to use Project-Builer.org for
building fossology packages ?
(Cf now obsolete:

[FOSSology] FOSSology on Fedora 13

2010-09-09 Thread mot
Hello list,

I have a fedora 13 running and wanted to install FOSSology but i ran
into dependency problems.

I assume that has something to do with my fedora version (it's 13 not
10/11 as announced on the website)

Here is what i figured out so far, i'm not so with linux os internals normally:

# uname -a

Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.34.6-54.fc13.x86_64 #1 SMP Sun Sep 5
17:16:27 UTC 2010 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

in "/etc/yum.repos.d/fossology.repo":
baseurl=http://fossology.org/rpms/fedora/11/x86_64/

# yum --skip-broken install fossology

has problems with dependencies:

Resolving Dependencies
--> Running transaction check
---> Package fossology.x86_64 0:1.2.0-1.fc11 set to be installed
--> Processing Dependency: librpm.so.0()(64bit) for package:
fossology-1.2.0-1.fc11.x86_64
--> Processing Dependency: librpmio.so.0()(64bit) for package:
fossology-1.2.0-1.fc11.x86_64
--> Processing Dependency: libextractor.so.1()(64bit) for package:
fossology-1.2.0-1.fc11.x86_64
--> Finished Dependency Resolution

There were more dependency problems in the beginning of which most I
could resolve by install the packages.

Do you have any idea/offer some help how to get it to run on fedora 13?
